Console gamers arent intelligent enough to play Blizzard games. Its funny watching them play WoW, But Diablo is a straight forward game and console gamers dont have to be smart to play it. This is the reason Blizzard is thinking this because in Diablo there arent many spell so the moving and attacking abillites could fit on a controller other than starcraft Wow and other games. So basically if you play console buy Diablo 3 it is one of my most loved games ever.

How will the auction house work, how will the gameplay feel, how will they fit all the hotkeys on the controller(s), and finally how will they make it work for online stuff?
@R1dps I assume the auction house will work similar to that of the pc. It may even be something that's moderated solely through computer use, not sure on that one. But as for Hotkeys I assume they'll do something like Hold "R2" to bring up a display with favourited items and abilities. And gameplay I don't think would be a problem. Skyrim plays great on console, and then there is action rpg's like DA:O and DA2 that handle quite well on console.

diablo 3 coming out for the xbox,ps3, and wii bothers me because it is taking away from the pc gaming community. this game should stay for the pc. im not just a pc fan i have grown up on all consoles and if this comes out for consoles its going to dwindle the pc gameing community down.
The first diablo game I played was on the PlayStation 1. It was a console game before so this is nothing new. Also Im not worried. Blizzard is not as mentally challenged as bethseda so Im not worried about this game.
The only reason I played PC was becuse of Diablo I,II and Age of Empires. I perfer consoles due to the fact It's cheaper to replace and is hands off. Truth be told the console is right behind the PC and once graphics max out (that day is coming) what system will you go for. In the end it comes down to gameplay. The console has games that are amazing and look good too! My PC is used for high end graphics, media production and things that make me money. But that's just me. Peace.
Big fan of the diablo series, I hope it comes to console simply as I know that Blizzard will not F it up as they did a awesome job with every other game they have released. So it will make sacred 2 blah blah blah look like crap all blizzard need to do is sort out how they will do the skills basically instead of using action bars like the PC does they do that and it will blow fans away and attract new ones :D

i loved playing both diablo and diablo 2 on pc, diablo one was once on playstation and i loved it cause it was my favorite game one my console, if they do bring diablo 3 to console i will be praizing them everyday i play i probably wouldnt every buy another game (skyrim is fun but doesnt compare) i hope to god they bring it to my 360 just so i have the opportunity to play it everyday.
btw... a great RPG game on the XBOX360 and the PS3 is Sacred 2... much more like Diablo but does not have the storyline like Diablo which is awesome...

Console gaming since the early 1980s, graduated to computer gaming in 1998 ( StarCraft/ Diablo (1) ). Can't wait for D3 to come out on PC. More platforms, consoles for D3 as well , great, another hit for Blizzard. Hey I want to play PC vs other consoles with D3 ... I have been switching back and forth from console to pc for 15 years I really enjoy console because i can sit on my couch and play on a huge tv. Heyo! They did actually create Diablo I for PS1. No wireless like pcs back then due to the lack of tech, but still pretty sweet. On the PS1 you could play co-op . It was one of my favorite games that I have played on that console.

i do worry a little about this coming to consoles because PC had baldurs gate series and when they decided to put baldurs gate to consoles it turned into a sad pile of shit, BG on pc are the best rpgs ever made and as soon as it went to consoles it ended up at the bottom of the shit heap and that is how most gamers see baldurs gate, they have never ever heard of the original PC versions. they think its "dark allience franchise"

@RelyTjbX I own both X360 and PS3, and I must say PS3 overrates X360 by A LOT, Move VS kinect = Move, flawless victory. I only see kinect better when it comes to sports games (which is awesome), but not good for FPS or RPG games... I'm sorry, if it's coming to console, I might get it for PS3 (about Wii, well... we can't expect D3 to run full-fledged)

I'dd love to see this happen, I am more comfortable or at least skillful on a console, but at the same time I love the style of games such as World of Warcraft, Diablo and other pc games... So to combine these together would benefit me as a gamer. So even tho most of u PC gamer might hate this, I must say its just going to benefit everyone ur not losing anything except maby some bragging right of playing a pc only game.
I have a PS3 but at heart I am a PC gamer. I have noticed that the range of PC games have been dramatically reduced. Everything that comes out is for consoles. Over the years my PC was the only thing that I had between my Playstation 1 and now. I don't care wither the console version is "dumb-ed down" I am just concerned of PC games becoming obsolete. The PC sections in GameStop, Wal Mart, Hastings etc, are only half a shelf worth of games that are older then crap or are dinky puzzle games. :(
Had a lot fun playing D2:LoD on pc, and can't wait for D3 to show up on xbox. memory shouldn't be an issue, since most consoles include 250gig harddisks. An advantage for the console version is that it will be harder to make money off the game by bot-farming and selling items. Can imagine though that hardcore pc gamers are afraid for a 'dumbed down' version of the game. I guess all we can do is wait untill it comes out..
its only an issue to pc gamers if it affects their gameplay via a dumbingg down of the ui and mechanics of the game to fit for console gamers, and then in multiplayer its not really fair to take console ggamers and pc gamers and put them together because of th limitations of consoles via the controller they can never be as good as a person using a mouse and keyboard. if they try too hard to make them coexist its going to ruin the game experience of the pc gamers via dumbing down the game.

as a former PC gamer turned console gamer i have extremely mixed feelings on the subject. diablo seems like a really hard game to effectively port over if for nothing but the controls. for me it's like trying to imagine WoW on a console. you just have to do way too much to ever do without a keyboard. i don't have a computer at the moment which could run diablo III but, as much as i really want to play it, i would be disappointed if it ended up being just another console game.
Blizzard games are designed to play on any Mac or PC. It's part of why they sell so good. There is no reason that anyone wouldn't be able to play it if they wanted.
Also Blizz is hiring PS3 developers, so not sure about the 360.
I think its great its coming to Xbox mainly because most laptops even if they can run the game will overheat fairly quickly. Id buy it on PC because D2 was a great game. But id much rather get it on Xbox.
In a more perfect world, console and PC gaming could live in harmony. Unfortunately, a very conspicuous niche exists for both.
Being the simplistic hack-and-slash that it is, I don't see how Diablo 3 could suffer much. Hell, 90% of Diablo 2 was the left mouse button. I'm sure console controllers have an adequate number of buttons to handle Diablo 3. If not, a few button combinations wouldn't hurt. It's not like we're talking a sophisticated RTS, here.

It makes sense to switch to console gaming. PC gaming is a dying breed. Most modern computers don't come stock with graphics cards able to run modern games well, if at all. Stupid ,casual masses don't like that. Pirating is also playing its part in the destruction of PC gaming.
They already are making it more console friendly, so i can see it happening. button mash for skills similar to WoW instead of d2, no health pots - instead you just run over them, no tps...

Cross platform would be badass. I play on both pc and console and i hope they put it on the console and make it cross platform to where a person on 360, ps3, and pc can play together. But they will have to make a keyboard and mouse package.i would spend a hundred plus dollars on a package like that they could make alot of money like that and get more gamers. BTW i did not think of the GB restriction on 360 maybe they could make it 2 disc or download only or just make it a usb game or something.

Big fan of the diablo series, I hope it comes to console simply as I know that Blizzard will not F it up as they did a awesome job with every other game they have released. So it will make sacred 2 blah blah blah look like crap all blizzard need to do is sort out how they will do the skills basically instead of using action bars like the PC does they do that and it will blow fans away and attract new ones :D

i loved playing both diablo and diablo 2 on pc, diablo one was once on playstation and i loved it cause it was my favorite game one my console, if they do bring diablo 3 to console i will be praizing them everyday i play i probably wouldnt every buy another game (skyrim is fun but doesnt compare) i hope to god they bring it to my 360 just so i have the opportunity to play it everyday.

Honestly I can't understand why PC gamers would get angry over this. This is a huge step for Blizzard, and PC gamers hate them for doing this? Console gaming since the early 1980s, graduated to computer gaming in 1998 ( StarCraft/ Diablo (1) ). Can't wait for D3 to come out on PC. More platforms, consoles for D3 as well , great, another hit for Blizzard. Hey I want to play PC vs other consoles with D3 ... Some people can't afford a high end gaming rig or budget rig so Xbox, ps 3 etc. running D3 = good. D3 PC gamers vs Console gamers sounds good to me.

I have been switching back and forth from console to pc for 15 years I really enjoy console because i can sit on my couch and play on a huge tv. I switched to play PC just because I am a huge fan of RPGs or MMORPG's. I really hope this game comes out on Xbox bc i know almost all of my freinds will play D3 then, simply bc they only play consoles. if not ill be playing in a computer chair with players i dont know.

diablo 3 will be for Mac,PC,Xbox 360,Ps3 not Wii. some stores already have preorders for Ps3 Mac and xbox 360. im a pc gamer but i like consoles as much as pc i just prefer Mouse but i dont have enough money to upgrade my pc so im buying an xbox 360 soon. but since my xbox 360 will be flashed im going to buy diablo 3 for PC to be able to use the RMAH.

Heyo! They did actually create Diablo I for PS1. No wireless like pcs back then due to the lack of tech, but still pretty sweet. On the PS1 you could play co-op . It was one of my favorite games that I have played on that console.

i do worry a little about this coming to consoles because PC had baldurs gate series and when they decided to put baldurs gate to consoles it turned into a sad pile of shit, BG on pc are the best rpgs ever made and as soon as it went to consoles it ended up at the bottom of the shit heap and that is how most gamers see baldurs gate, they have never ever heard of the original PC versions. they think its "dark allience franchise"

It may be one reason why D3 will not come to consoles, it really unique game, and you cant find good rpg on consoles:( . Have a look on rpg that were released on PC, for example Lineage 2 or Aion wonderful games and now Diablo 3.

@RelyTjbX I own both X360 and PS3, and I must say PS3 overrates X360 by A LOT, Move VS kinect = Move, flawless victory. I only see kinect better when it comes to sports games (which is awesome), but not good for FPS or RPG games... I'm sorry, if it's coming to console, I might get it for PS3 (about Wii, well... we can't expect D3 to run full-fledged)

I have to admit that the pc version was a bit more polished but the playstation version was a pretty close version of the pc game. I hope they bring it out for both pc and game consoles again, and hope my wife doesn't divorce me this time around. lol......

I'dd love to see this happen, I am more comfortable or at least skillful on a console, but at the same time I love the style of games such as World of Warcraft, Diablo and other pc games... So to combine these together would benefit me as a gamer. So even tho most of u PC gamer might hate this, I must say its just going to benefit everyone ur not losing anything except maby some bragging right of playing a pc only game.

I have a PS3 but at heart I am a PC gamer. I have noticed that the range of PC games have been dramatically reduced. Everything that comes out is for consoles. Over the years my PC was the only thing that I had between my Playstation 1 and now. I don't care wither the console version is "dumb-ed down" I am just concerned of PC games becoming obsolete. The PC sections in GameStop, Wal Mart, Hastings etc, are only half a shelf worth of games that are older then crap or are dinky puzzle games. :(

Had a lot fun playing D2:LoD on pc, and can't wait for D3 to show up on xbox. memory shouldn't be an issue, since most consoles include 250gig harddisks. An advantage for the console version is that it will be harder to make money off the game by bot-farming and selling items. Can imagine though that hardcore pc gamers are afraid for a 'dumbed down' version of the game. I guess all we can do is wait untill it comes out..

its only an issue to pc gamers if it affects their gameplay via a dumbingg down of the ui and mechanics of the game to fit for console gamers, and then in multiplayer its not really fair to take console ggamers and pc gamers and put them together because of th limitations of consoles via the controller they can never be as good as a person using a mouse and keyboard. if they try too hard to make them coexist its going to ruin the game experience of the pc gamers via dumbing down the game.

as a former PC gamer turned console gamer i have extremely mixed feelings on the subject. diablo seems like a really hard game to effectively port over if for nothing but the controls. for me it's like trying to imagine WoW on a console. you just have to do way too much to ever do without a keyboard. i don't have a computer at the moment which could run diablo III but, as much as i really want to play it, i would be disappointed if it ended up being just another console game.

Blizzard games are designed to play on any Mac or PC. It's part of why they sell so good. There is no reason that anyone wouldn't be able to play it if they wanted.

I think its great its coming to Xbox mainly because most laptops even if they can run the game will overheat fairly quickly. Id buy it on PC because D2 was a great game. But id much rather get it on Xbox.

In a more perfect world, console and PC gaming could live in harmony. Unfortunately, a very conspicuous niche exists for both.
Being the simplistic hack-and-slash that it is, I don't see how Diablo 3 could suffer much. Hell, 90% of Diablo 2 was the left mouse button. I'm sure console controllers have an adequate number of buttons to handle Diablo 3. If not, a few button combinations wouldn't hurt. It's not like we're talking a sophisticated RTS, here.

They already are making it more console friendly, so i can see it happening. button mash for skills similar to WoW instead of d2, no health pots - instead you just run over them, no tps...

Cross platform would be badass. I play on both pc and console and i hope they put it on the console and make it cross platform to where a person on 360, ps3, and pc can play together. But they will have to make a keyboard and mouse package.i would spend a hundred plus dollars on a package like that they could make alot of money like that and get more gamers. BTW i did not think of the GB restriction on 360 maybe they could make it 2 disc or download only or just make it a usb game or something.

Am I the only one who played the original Diablo on the playstation and the original Starcraft on the N64? Blizzard have done console games before, and they didnt harm the games PC gaming at all. I also remember playing 2 player coop Diablo on the ps1 and it worked just fine.I did play starcraft 64 they pulled it off pretty well on the system.
