  • Can you list me the nations with the highest IQ? What about the most innovative country in the Global Innovation Index? How many asians are in Silicion Valley? In America, what group makes the most money, highest percentage in Ivy League Schools per capita, highest test scores, Lowest crime rate per capita? But there are faults as well but also many positives. My point is, Don't try to act like your shat don't stank.

  • Even the blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.

  • Anyone know the drunken tiger track awhile back with the "Enemy of the State" intro, where gene hackman and will smith are talking about how the viets won the war. The track is a a lil old. Its pretty dope though. Anyone remember that track and the name of it?

  • And youtube was created by an asian Steve Chen, go figure.

  • Where the fuck did DJ Shine go??

  • Is this russian? beautiful language.

  • LOL It's Kogrean.

  • Korean*

  • @ Ivngdead ...

    it's korean..

  • Yeah, I remember watching the vid along with a lot of other on Music Video Heaven on IC Channel. =)

Shame, J-pop/Jrock/J-Hip-Hop has anime to help promote it's artist in America. K-pop/K-rock/K-Hip-Hop on the other hand doesn't have that so it really is too bad that there aren't too many windows to expose Westerners to Korean music these days. =/

  • I MISS MVH! T_T ...and you're so right!

  • This is my favorite song!!

  • Omg. I haven't heard this in years. XD

  • any one know the girl is singing?

  • hahahah visors. i remember those days

  • @hsal20 lil wayne iz a fag im black an even i can see that

  • @hsal20 yes hip hop was created by black people, but im talking bout mainstream hip hop here. theres quite a difference.

  • JK wrote all of the korean parts- including shine's. - so technically yes- they were written by DT.

  • Let me enlighten you guys. 너희가 힙합을 아느냐 (do you know hiphop - Lyricist: KimMore, Kim Jin Pyo, C.BMass Music/Sampling/Editing: Drunken Tiger) They weren't very good at Korean when this song came out. Please research. I'm sorry to break your fantasies about this song.

  • i'm sorry to break YOUR fantasy but JK himself said that he was actually good at korean awready when he debut. pronounciation problem, was only beacause of his health thingy. aight?

  • sigh. well he might have been good (well who knows?), but he did not write this lyrics in Korean nonetheless.

  • dude jk did write the korean lyrics.

  • no he didn't. I'm not going to answer all these stupid comments anymore, research before you guys speak to me.

  • Snap! :)

  • Man, I never realized Tiger JK and DJ Shine have the same bday. haha

  • really when is it?

  • I miss MC Shine so much...even though I like Bizzy's flow, without Shine, it feels like Drunken Tiger is missing something.

  • ive neva understood wut da fuc dey sayin but dis shit good

  • check out Drunken Tiger Monster remix it features Rakim Rakka and Drunken JT's wife T(Tasha)

  • heard he has a club in NY i think

  • but GOD DAM Tiger is amazing

  • Drunken tiger was the shiiiiiit! even my black ass was jaming to them! They have skills and you HAVE to give credit where credit is due! Who says only Americans can rap!?!?!?!?!

  • Tiger IS an American!

  • lol i agree 100%percent its good to see asian cats rep

  • so damn true! mad props to you man.

  • whats the name of the english version???

  • Classic. You can listen to classics a decade later and it is STILL fresh. There is a reason you bump Biggie in 2009. See what I did there?

  • no. you cannot compare biggie and drunken tiger. lol!

don't get me wrong. drunken tiger is great, but biggie is above drunken tiger.

  • It's true, you cannot compare them. You can't really compare rappers that are 2 different race and popularity level.

  • wat does race and popularity have to do with how good they are?

  • None. But, who thinks is good. Many rappers from abroad emulate Rappers from the U.S. But when you say Snoop or Biggie, that's world wide popularity.

  • @ DBofPAB people will always say asians are trying to emulate us rappers,i think asian mc's are just doing hip hop culture, america has the biggest media market however skill is skill but the average person will never hear mc's with skills no matter the race or region of the world because mtv bet and record compaines are in bed together plus they control radio, its up to us to do are research and find these gems no matter the race or orgin of nation ,the posin is main stream this go for all races

  • lmfao race and popularity have so much to do with how good they are. if ur popular, u'll feel more confident and it will show in ur music. if no1 likes u or ur not popular, ur music will sound different. u'll force urself to work harder and so less popular emcee's are always droppin sick shit to get noticed, while popular fags like lil wayne dont have to try. oh and race, mainstream hiphop adores the flow of the african culture. if ur born black, and have a "black" flow, ur wanted more.

  • @rethedred

besides the most selling rap artist of all time/.... white.

    p.s. i don't like him

  • @FknPieceOfShit i disagree race has nothing to do with it,its about skill some asian mc's are better than black mc's just like some black mc's are better than asian mc's,its about skill, not culture or a region of the world or race just skill

  • thats the whole frickin point of comparing

  • drunken tiger is kewl i like his style and biggie was ok to me even tho i understood him more.

idk something about drunken tiger seems kewler to me on how they not rapping about the main genre in hip-hop these days u knw wat i mean.

Drunken Tiger ur the best rapper in ASIA

  • Drunken Tiger was awesome, but what's with the Chinese setting? lol. It's funny, how we only recently found out we're not genetically related ;x

  • wat do u mean?

  • this is gangsta shit..........

  • lmfao such an old vid.. but still its a great song

  • jk so hot :D

  • lol funny how tiger jk and dj shine was born on the exact same date..

  • does anyone have the mp3 of this song? if you do please pm me it.

  • dj shine looks like an ostrich in this video hahahaha

  • leagend!

  • I remember the 2 sided bangs hair style, that was bomb in the good old days.

  • DT are some fly ass dudes haha.

  • it seems like yesterday that i was listining this song ,but its been so long ! great old skool tiger :P

  • YOU KNOW HIP HOP.. DT!

  • seriously....... Drunken Tiger is the best......... i really dont give a dam about epik high............. Drunken tiger is so much more like real hip hop rap music...............

  • agreed

  • nah epik high is good too

but drunken tiger is GREEEAAATT ;D

  • jk sounds like a kid haha

he's still the bomb. DK FOREVER

  • Classic.

  • 10years...

and this shit still goes hard

  • WHEN WAS THIS MADE???

  • it was Drunken Tiger's first debut album...which is made in 1999-02

  • 1990-92?? Sweet as!

Didn't know hip hop/rap had a history THAT old in South Korea!

    Cheers.

  • their first album came out in 99 but i remember when this song was released in 98.. haha ... yea there were a some good hip hop/rappers before drunken tiger also.. rapping mainly because the language flows pretty well when rapping and there are some hip hop songs going throughout the 90's that you can find. most korean groups never stuck to one style though so its hard to find.

  • DT didn't either... But regardless Tiger J is doing fine with his transistion.

  • what the hell is this doing on the rasputina playlist?

  • does this really matter? Just listen to the song if you don't like korean rap get the f*** out

  • So much for that Korean "brain power" because if you actually listened to Tiger JK's latest album, there is a track called "Tonight 01". Nas to ATCQ, Bob Marley, N.W.A., and so much more.

Or, just go listen to "Foundation" that Drunken Tiger put out over a decade ago. It uses samples from Gangstarr, Mobb Deep and Ice Cube.

He paid his due and paved his own as THE lyricist of all Asia.

  • Comment removed

  • hope you guys know that tiger jk lived in america in his youth years n grew up listening to lots of american rap n u can see the change in style from DJ DOC to the newer rap groups like tablo n other ppl. American rap HAS made an influence n its highly possible korean rap could have gone far without the influence from american rap BUT IN REALITY it has gone through influence from artists that came from america n has been influenced by american hiphop like tiger jk

  • I thought this song was called, "Return of the tiger"

  • DT is the best of basically all of the korean rap/hip hop variety hands down. and i have heard alot of different artists.

  • true

  • In all truth the ones that had broght hip hop to korea were seo taeji wa i dol with the song COME BCAK HOME!!!!!. who were ledgends of thier time!!!

  • seo tai ji ruled. i remember a group calle deux too. i didnt start really getting into kpop til 97, but i did go back and listen to ol skool korean hip hop to find out its history (plus the techno, dance, and ballads of course) seo tai ji was awesome. DT i think cemented korean-american hip hop. tho i could still be wrong. being schooled in this subject can only be rewarding.

  • Yeah, seo taiji was actually just experimenting with Hip Hop, he originally loved Metal. There was DJ DOc who made Hip Hop like it is now, with all the dancing and stuff, but Drunken tiger brought it all in for the real thing.

  • Can anyone tell me the lyrics for the intro?

  • whats funny is these guys grew up in the US.....and I wish more american rap could be like this.......

    Eg....Eminem = Pretender..

    Black rappers = Try hards....

they sould take a leaf outta DT's book....DT Knows who they are....and they NEVER pretend.......

  • AGREED.

  • Eminem isn't a pretender man, more like Soulja Boy, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, and Rick Ross.

Eminem is one of the few rappers who keeps it real.

  • damn, you say DT wasn't fake, but trust me, their stuff was controlled by the korean media and couldn't put out the songs they wanted. korean media is very very conservative. in DT's later songs, he talks about how he was used like a puppet in the media and how he hates everything about the korean media now.

  • their stuff wasn't controlled per'se.... it was jsut censored far too much... the media just limited what DT wanted to actually let the world here..... true DT followers still stuck with them whereas other people were jsut oblivious to what they could DT was made for

  • Eminem is sick. One of 3 American artists that I like. And trust me, without "black rappers" like Tupac, Korean rap wouldn't be what it is today.

@ koreanbounca: Yup, Deux, Taiji, DOC, DT are all old school ^^

Actually if watch Epik High's perf on Chocolate, they perform lots of sick songs from a while ago

  • Let's jus see how correct you are...and who agrees with you ^^

  • "yokid5674" for one. And if you didn't know, JK was brought up in LA. If he was raised in Korea, I can almost assure you, he wouldn't be as good as he is now if there had been no "black rappers" around.

Eminem is a pretender? How exactly?

  • Eminem has put out a lot of crappy pop songs to make money, but he was originally an incredible battle rapper and each of his albums has a few gems.

As for "black rappers = try hards," there's no need to respond. You're just making yourself look like an idiot. If I started listing great black rappers, I'd run out of characters way too soon. Which isn't to say there aren't bad ones, there's a obviously a huge variety.

    END OF DISCUSSION.

  • Thats like Saying Black Wouldn't Have Guns to Pop like Gangster had it not been for the Chinese Invention of Gun Powder.

  • No it isn't. Gunpowder would easily have been discovered during growth spurts in science. However, if there had not been black rappers, I am correct in saying the Korean rap scene wouldn't be what it is today.

  • I can easily counter that by saying Poetry with Rhythm was done waay before the times of the Blue's or the first solid form of Rap by African Americans.

The Korean Rap Scene may perhaps been quite different then without the influence of black rapper

let say that poetry of rhythm was not influence by your black rapper... It would still be Poetry with Rhythm.

  • It would not be as widely used as it is now. Had gunpowder been discovered 200 years after the Chinese discovered it's uses, it would still be used around the world as much as it is used now. It is easy to manufacture the same material, however, rap is art. "Poetry with rhythm" was not used widely before African American's came into the music scene. There is no denying that Korean rap would not be the same without African American rap, it would not be as popular.

  • Now that just assuming on the "What if" Scenario

you take into consideration that it probably won't be as popular as it is today... but lets say that "What if" What if it did become popular without the influence of the first African American Artist.

It can be argue both way... unless you yourself refuse to believe that nothing is possible.

  • But it wouldn't have. Drunken Tiger, Tablo, half the members of the Movement, three-fourths of Soul Company all trace their roots back to African-American rappers such as Biggie, Pac and Nas. I refuse to argue with you any longer. I am right, you are wrong. It's not really a controversial topic, the answer is blatant.

  • hahaha That made my day. It is as I said you're a person who refuse to believe that nothing is possible.

  • You believe nothing is possible? Congratulations retard.

  • Oh I believe anything is possible... But if your going to crap on the above grammar just because I wrote "Nothing is Possible"

(What I meant was that, you don't believe I.E *Subject* can be alter by another source of influence.)

Haha... Then There a war going on withing that brain of yours if you think you're making a point.

I applaud you for your attempt to sound reasoning. lol

  • I wasn't attempting to correct your grammar. I have no idea what you're talking about except that Korean music would be the same today without the help of African American rap. Which is false. And if you were trying to say that I refuse to believe anything is possible, you're right. I refuse to believe that it is possible for a man to be pregnant with 53 children. Enough. I can't understand a word you're saying, and honestly, don't care. I am obviously right. Get a life.

  • Buahahahaha. If a Man is able to surgically get himself impregnate, I'm sure he can get himself to have 52 more kids on that matter.

Its not that you don't understand... You just have a one sided thinking process.

So I'm sorry I can't hear you over how awesome I am lol.

  • I don't know why I have to repeat this. Get a life. Stop bothering me. Impose your stupid opinions on others. If your stubbornness leads you to believe that African-Americans had no hand in the Hip-Hop world today, so be it.

  • That wasn't what I was trying to imply though *shrugs*... But hey its comforting to know that no matter how much you tell me you don't care, I won't believe you.

Hahaha. So Stop telling people to get a life when you can't see that simple contradiction of your statement.

*Shrugs* But hey, whatever makes you feel secure about yourself right?

  • And if the whites never enslaved black people and brought them over here, there would be a lot of people living in poor conditions in africa. We never would've had rap nor a Michael Jordan, what is your point?

  • lol this made me crack up, the "korean rap" scene would of been different without the influence of a black rapper?

u gotta be kidding me right? lmfao thats like saying korean food would of been different without the influence of koreans.

hope u aint korean homie, we're supposed to have brains.

  • either your a dumb 12yr old boy that thinks he knows it all, or your just one dumbass fob

  • Your soo silly... sooo soo very serious lol.

  • This is equivalent to Gangstarr's "Make 'em pay" where they take shots at labels and fake rappers putting on a show.

Tiger JK has a classic 16 bar in the middle.

  • Hella sick ass song... even though i cant understand what theyre saying! haha, still i dig the tight ass beats!

  • Drunken Tiger is God father Of Rap

  • heard of clokworx? loLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • My favorite part is when they rap in english~:P

  • old school

  • This is my favorite DT song although it is probably one of their first. Their style changed quite a bit in their newer albums.

  • They seem to be influenced by american and western culture, i love this song

    DT rules!

  • they're from cali and pretty fluent in english

  • I know Tiger J is from Cali and Dj Shine is from NyC both born and raised i think.

  • like most koreans, they were raised there for a few years, but moved around back to and from korea to the states. both are fluent in english if not a little rusty hah. SHINE has a few clubs in NY and tiger jk is married to Tasha in korea with a kid.

  • thats not most koreans

  • hi, I really love this group. Could you tell me where I could buy the cd? I've tried searching everywhere online without any positive responses.

    Thank you,

    Prettyasell

  • Go to Korea. Or look for a korean store that has them.

  • yea but this is still one of my fav.

  • is this song called "do you know hip hop" or "return of the tiger"?

  • the korean version is do you know hip hop. the english version is called return of the tiger.

  • haha in my opinion the korean ver. better

  • This is some of that Big L , Rakim shit. Tiger JK spits that sick 16 bars.

"Everybody living the life of stringed dolls, all dancing and acting the same, a revolution is needed, we be two drunken tigers coming from the ghetto. They say the truth is perceived from the powers that be, but it is the same power that is judging our children...

  • u mean incorporate

  • that girl at the end with the headphones is hot!!!

  • temazooo nano

  • i mean their live performances :P

  • The actual video is way better than their lives

  • yoo drunken tiger is amazin!!!!1

  • Tiger JK is the Big L and Nas hybrid on the art of flow. Just a teaspoon of meatphor and delivery that will make Premo blush.

I am not even fucking around.

  • the dopest foreign rap video...EVER

  • i wish more songs were like this

  • this is a very good song

even though it is pretty old

but still one of y favor's

  • good shit

  • gawd.. the old days. man. this song is still effin awesome. esp. when they get all into it live.

  • they both took its from sting's song from the movie "the professional"

  • damn how could they!!!!!

  • Memories memories.... aaaah :D I still love this song after all these years

  • Yo, the song's name is DO You Know Hip Hop. I think return of the tiger was the name of the first album, from which this song is from.

  • you're right, fixed it, thank you

  • BTW this version is the korean one if you look at the whole album they have two other versions which are mostly english

  • This songs sounds like "The Message" by Nas

  • it could be the other way around

  • no, The Message from Nas is really really old, but Nas already took the beat from a pop 80's famous song, so, it's not copying.

  • HAhahah.. man.. this video brings back memories. I still remember the rap lines at the end.

Intoxicated tiger dropping topics hypnotic in a logical melodic sonic, Boom up the optics slipping gin without a tonic under disco light I rocked it ain't no optical illusion it's only a logic.

I still don't know what that means.

  • AAAAAAAAAAwesome song!!!

  • Classic stuff.

  • The song is absolute badass but the video is kinda...cheesy.

  • lol yea this was when korea had no idea how to make a rap video. drunken tiger paved the way for the rap scene

  • so is mac and cheez

  • They are EDUCATED. As oppose to all the other fucktards a la Crown J, Mc mong and all the other garbage rappers.

Tiger JK's "Tonight 01" throws in hooks and lines from Nas, Pac, ATCQ, Method man and so much more.

MC mong put out 4 albums without a hint of respect to the veterans. Bet you the bitch can't even freestyle.

Crown J is from Colorado. Faggot is screaming A town like he is from Atlanta. Colorado has alot of powder, but I am not talking Kilos.

  • Colorado has alot of powder, but I am not talking Kilos.

    ---------------

    lmao!!!!

thats what kills me on that we got married show. crown j be putting out this image to the koreans over there that hes this gangsta from LA and Atl lmao...he is softer then a baby's ass

  • LOLL than a baby's ass LOL!

  • so you're saying using samples from previous good artists automatically makes you good, and makes you suck if you try to be original?

  • they grew up in america, so do you think thats why they are better rappers than most asians? i'm asian so its not like i'm dissing anyone, just a thought.

  • Maybe they just because they understand what it's really supposed to be about better than other asians (they known that it's SUPPOSED to be about hardships, that's why it was created. a modern blues).

  • I'm still thinking this song is the best one of DK :)

  • I miss this group. Tightest duo in Korea. Tiger JK was Bruce Lee on them biatches.

  • O ok thanks guys ^^

  • I don't know how to speak korean, but I love Drunken Tiger.

  • Hei I love this song !!!

Its a very gd team of korean rap I love it but I want to know how old are they ? please

    peace evry body
