  • this playlist is missing sumfin... i know i know! parts 3 and 4 of praries of amazonia!

  • it sounds like he said struggling on ftw XD

  • I am a christan I believe that god does evolution go christan scientists

  • In fact I don't think that gophers would have to change their diet much, they would just have to withstand the cold a bit better. I can't believe that the first thing that scientists would think to show as a future burrowing animal is a bird, I'm not saying that birds couldn't evolve to burrow, I'm just saying that I want to see an evolved gopher.

(Year 5,002,011: Dun DUN DAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!) Hehe

  • What about gophers? They burrow underground and they ravage the land of North America! It wouldn't be a big step for gophers to survive this new landscape, just a change in diet would be the biggest thing.

  • @religonisalie

Most people that are alive today that are not of african descent have some Neanderthal in them. Race is a made up concept. the reason we look different has to do with where our ancestors are from, africans have dark skin to protect them from the sun. it's like the rattlebacks in this and the last episode, one is from the grasslands the other a desert. they look differant cause of the enviurnment that each lives in. it's the same for humans.

  • My god! How did this cool documentary become about race? Uneduated wankers like the ones who made these Natzi comments need to look at the theory of evolution to see how closely connected we are. More so than ever in history. Current race distinctions are an illusion. Jesus Christ!

  • Just when I thought I'd seen it all and was hoping for the BBC to make a documentary on future life...WHY DIDN'T I KNOW ABOUT THIS EARLIER?!?

  • @Abominatrix650 lol i know

  • you know what would be awesome? a tree-dwelling canid descended from the gray fox! :)

  • @stix365 Yes it would be awsome, sadly its an ice age in 5 million years so there is little trees and by 100 million years the next stage in time they show, mammals are in almost gone, they should have another season that shows the mid times 25 million 50 million years ect. Considering new species developed in only 5 million years they could have many more animals to show in between the times they chose to show so far. Cmoooooon new season lol

  • @stix365 - I want flying simians

  • @religonisalie There is mild trolling, there is regular trolling, there is trying-too-hard-to-troll trolling, there is you-fucked-up-your-believability-5-posts-ago trolling, and then there is you.

  • @religonisalie Race mixing? That is what you think is going to doom humanity? You need to get your head on straight. Tribalism is what is threatening humanity, not peaceful cooperation between groups.

  • @religonisalie At the rate we're killing ourselves off, that's none of the races. We keep going the way we're going, humans will end up borderline extinct before we know it.

  • @religonisalie It makes a fair amount of sense. Nature is our mother; we were born from it. it can give and take, create and destroy. Nature breathes - many people fail to see that we're slowly killing off the very thing we need to survive, however.

  • @religonisalie I'll drink to that, friend. *raises glass and makes as if downing a shot*

  • But the quail-thing was a cool idea.

  • Seriously. An underground quail. A little crazy.

  • WOW! This is the coolet episode yet. Love the giant bat things.

  • why does the rattleback have such reptillian like teeth. rodents are the ones with some of the most specialised teeth of all mammals?

  • SANDSHREWW!!!

  • @superaragon

    Squirtle

  • @superaragon rattlebacks actually look like sandslash

  • this whole evolution vs. creationisim argument is so damn pointless! there's no way of knowing in our lifetime so why bother?

Or, use your imagination and mind, and come up with an idea which could explain it all, and give each idea a fair chance?

  • @WarFire10 Great point dude, too many people with stubborn opinions, i personally believe in both creationism AND god, ive discounted most of the bible besides jesus parts and believe evolution was a tool for god to create us. My proof is that if one tiny thing was off in all of earths history we wouldnt have evolved, if like one degree was off when making the earth THAT might not have even existed, basically theres so little chance for all this to have happened to make us.

  • @WarFire10 I believe in some creration, and a God, and evolution. There both explained.

  • @IndianaJ25 but not spelling apparently?

  • @N00bcrunch3r

    O.K?

Why did you tell be that anyways.

  • Cool animal inventions.

  • Wait a minute, the mammal flies and the bird burrows. What a strange desert! And wasn't there already another rattle back in the Amazonian plains. Oh, so they migrated. The North American one is uglier. What exactly would drive the quail to evolve like that?

  • in fact, nothing 'evolves', as the world wants to think!

  • @Tyraka628

If you're opposed to science, then stop trolling these videos

  • @N00bcrunch3r: I'm not opposing science at all; in fact, i'm Suportting it!!

  • @Tyraka628

Then why did you just say creature don't evolve? All creationists claim they support science, but when you look on the inside, they can't even have a debate with me without either running away or arguing what the term science means.

  • @Tyraka628

Giving us Christians a bad name is not helping anyone. Luckily this smart fellow can tell the difference between a creationist and a Christian. But lets leave that for another forum. Here we will only talk about the video. Let's begin by me pointing about that during the las ice age, north america was a grassland. Now it's forest and grassland but country wide desert!?!?! Not only that but an ice age last 100,000 years and a intermediate warm period 10,000 years. But 5 million years?!

  • @Scoinsoffaterocks: i'm a christian and a creationist to; i'm sorry for giving us a bad name, but i was just trying support God creating the universe instead of all of it 'evolving'. but now that we've resovled it, let's all stop arguing and just watch the videos.

  • @Tyraka628

    Resolve? How?

Anyways evolution has nothing to do with how the universe was created (Cosmogenesis) or how life was created (Abiogenesis). It simply explains how life adapted WITH the Earth after life appeared on Earth. Because the bible doesn't mention it doesn't mean it go against it. New species always appeared through Earth's history, even in the modern era (like bananas) and the bible never mentions this. Here we speak evolution and the video. Don't like it leave (kindly speaking)

  • @Scoinsoffaterocks: ...And here i speak along with you, putting my beliefs to the side and enjoying the imagination of these videos. however, you do make a point; new speices are appearing everyday, and evolution does only involve life. anyway, let's just watch and enjoy this show. :)

  • @Tyraka628 what they just magically appear? Nuh. If you're not interested in evolutionary biology don't watch/comment on these vids.

  • @gilesderoet: i believe that God created all that there is, and if i wasn't interested in these videos, i wouldn't watch them, but i am and i love all the fictional creatures.

  • Comment removed

  • Then if you're watching them (which is great, it's a good series), you are accepting the premise that this is speculative evolution, not speculative things just magically appear. From there saying animals don't evolve is absurd.

  • @gilesderoet: correct; when i said 'magically appear', i was refering to real life, not the tv series. i'm all for speculative evolution: the idea of a creature becoming something bigger, stronger, and overall greater, is very intriging.

  • @Tyraka628 I'm confused- you're saying animals just appear in real life, but evolve in fiction?

  • @Tyraka628

They could exist, you may never know. This video in particular has animals that are almost certainly going to exist.

  • They have weird looking birds in the future

  • @MrGirman1 Any weirder than a penguin or a humming bird?

  • @jimboinlimbo yes any weirder they borow walk on 4 legs and look more like rodents

  • @MrGirman1 Yeah, I suppose you're right.

  • @MrGirman1 Not necessarily considering their ancestors were dinosaurs.

  • @xmissmooshix there ancestors were qails were talking about the spinx

  • @xmissmooshix birds did not evolve from Dinosaurs as widely believed.

  • @Tyraka628 Wrong. Simply wrong.

  • first? FIRST TO DIE!! *stabs self*
