I think in the beginning Emil thought she was joking then around the time of the Temple of Ice(or maybe earlier) he started "falling for her" as you put it. R. Emil , I think, started having feelings as soon as she was put in the party.

their attack failed to take him down even one HP.

hey. my unsion attack is devil's maw. it seemed so powerful until i got to decus. i kept attcking him and then he suprised me with that card finish which send all of my players to 1 hp.

how do i perform a new unison attack? plus i heard a "special" on another website. can anyone lend me some info?

if neither of these are fulfilled, in addition to the two you mentioned, it won't happen

@RaeMina: It is not so much as boring but rather ineffective. Presea's Mystic artes for instance may not be flashy BUT it is VERY powerful. Ars Nova is...weak comparatively.

I have a feeling this would've been a lot more epic if the dialogue was just a BIT better. Like, not talking at the same time and Laura Bailey sounding a bit less like a preppy schoolgirl. Emil was fine in his speaking parts, but Marta ruined it.

This unison may seem weak at first but once you level up marta and emil, this things power shoots up by a bunch (preferably near lvl 200)

it is a nice alternative if you don't wanna consume mp for a mystic or your monsters aren't too strong.

Its also nice cuz of course it adds a little of that "emil and marta" fighting side by side :)

I don't see the point to this unison attack because it's freaking weak compared to doing "The Third Movement" which can do up to 10000 damage, while at my current level I've done no more than 5000 with this one.

Ya know, with 10x EXP activate, Emil and Marta level up 1.2 times faster than the 10x EXP in the original Symphonia. Emil is (In my game) level 189 and Marta is 176.

Even in Mania Mode, Gladsheim and Twilight Palace are a piece of cake!

(Plus, Emi's Mystic Arte can do more than 35000 damage! XD!!! o.O)

Quick Question: I just started the game and usually play with about 3 other people but when we try a unison attack not everyone attacks altogether? :S

All you do is hit C and sit back and watch. You can't input any commands during the unison attack, unlike the first Symphonia game. Who participates in the attack is determined by the elemental gauge.

The requirements are pretty much common sense. I always did it by doing a shadow demon fang than C and though it would work randomly a little. I hate the attack, it did 6000 only once on enemies and it isn't that strong as epic as it looks. I'd rather do Zelos' or Lloyd's Mystic after waiting twice the amount of time because it's (OVER 9,000) strong.

I would rather do "The Third Movement" with my Ravenous casting and Bakunawa supporting it since it does over 20000 with my unison bar still full, plus I get a high combo. I would've defeated Ritcher MUCH faster had it done that instead of retarded Ars Nova.

Is there anyway to completely avoid this while maintaining light and dark in the element grid for unison attacks?

Take off special from Emil or Marta and with one gone, it won't work. Unless you already know that, the unison bar must be full and have at least one light and one dark attribute, this goes for the major element as well. Take of tenembre from demon fang and use no dark monsters, actually just dark spells and it will be avoided. I'm aware this may be obvious already thus making this competely uselss. And for wasting your time, Sorry.

Actually, I didn't know that about the "Special" skill being equipped. I always wondered why for certain periods of time I would never do it then suddenly I would because at first I only had Marta's equipped (for tight situations or annoying battles) but never used Emil's. Now during my 2nd playthrough I have both equipped.

hnm... I think the problem is the monsters.

For example: if you have a water elemnt monster, you can't let any water sub-element there. I mean, that wouldn't make any sense if there was a killer fish casting splash in "emil and marta's unison attack"

I'm pretty sure that this unison attack takes priority over any monster unison attacks. As long as the conditions are satisfied, it should work.

I can never get this to work... I've tried it with:

- 1 light sub

- dark/light main

- Emil and Marta in party (obv)

- Press C

and it still makes just a First movement with Emil and my monsters, occasionally with Marta too... I've used it once, by accident... but since then, it hasn't worked... What am I doing wrong??

Hmm, I'm not quite sure. It looks like you have everything right. I've been able to pull it off without a dark/light main and just with 1 light sub and 1 dark sub. I've always had Marta's and Emil's special skill turned on when doing this, but I've been told that you don't need it on for Ars Nova to activate. Not sure, sorry.
