The Islamic right does use violence against moderates, non-Muslims, women, and gay people as par for the course. The number of those killed by Christian extremists in the West within the past half century pales in comparison to the non-Muslim deaths in just one conflict, the war in Sudan.
A curse on both their houses, but Islam is a much, much bigger threat to the world.
While it would be against my principles to judge all Christian creeds in the US just because of the more political agenda-oriented Conservative Christianity movement, I do think that thanks to the religious conservative lobby America has a huge institutional bias favoring religion and against anything secular right now, not through all religion in general but through the hugely powerful conservative christian lobby that came into power first two decades ago along with the Reagan government.
If you wanna bring a law based on your belief in a religion then you must bring real pure evidence to show what you believe is a 100% real and not based on faith.
If you cannot bring such evidence then you must make your case without falling back on your faith based belief, when you have failed to make your case for such a law then you give up and go home or find somewhere else to live.

Well first off, like I had said, why is it that others that are different from you are considered to be witches and study and believe in witchcraft? Secondly I don't meddle in those areas nor would I ever want to. Plus aren't you living a little in the dark ages? Witchcraft as it was so blatantly called was disproven as just smoke and mirrors used to further peoples own means in cults and rituals in the year 1826 by scientist Michael Theodore.

Well as far as Bush, Cheny and all the politics you mentioned being part of a Nazi Regiem or being sons or grandsons of the old Regiem you are correct but the actual term being used is Wiccan, not Witch, the Wiccan beliefs are that the world is harmonized and everything returns to nature, the bones of our bodies when we die and our very souls return to the earth and the 4 elements, fire, wind, water and earth from which we are born from return, fyi im agnostic, not wiccan, i am just educated

Again yet your confusion with Jim Reece's horr novel in the year 1875 called "The Bewitchment of the unholy Union". Also look up the actual definition of a pagan, pagans are beliefs and worships of gods or goddesses of many or of one that do not coincide with christianity, not the worshipping of idols or demons or even lucifer, but merly dieties of old from which people converted from to christianity and the dieties stories exactly or similarly matches jesus's story and life.

I know Bush professes to be a christian, but I cannot see how any of his policies could possibly be related to christian values.
All I have seen Bush accomplish is, push Globalism on the US, through deception and minipulation. Those are not Christian character traits.I don't see how Mr. Unger sees anything christian about the Bush presidency.

You remember when the prominent evangelical leader that was bashing gays turned out to be a clauset gay drug user, that made me think of Bush Senior bashing atheists, all these elite evangelical and christian right have to be the most decadant of atheists using religion for the politcal influence.

I'm not an atheist, nor a theist, but secular, accepting the fact that the world IS pluralistic. Secularism and pluralism aren't atheism. The evangelicals label them as such, to rally the troops. They can't accept the fact that a Christian can also be secular :(
