  • Really love to hear the artist cover and interpret their own great compositions or performances and E C tops the list for most of the way he's always innovating on his previous scores. Sign of true artistic development. One class act. Like the Jeff Beck interpretations also a class act

  • this version is amazing, i usually don't prefer live versions but this one is better than studio!

  • Just a tiny bit too fast but still awesome.

  • check this steve´s heart -*bass drum

  • One of the best versions of this song--love the full, rich sound Eric gets out of his guitar of many colors!!

  • When did he play this? this isnt on the CD

  • Clapton was frequently seen without his glasses on the first CGF and the tour that followed the concerts in June. I was very surprised when he got rid of his glasses in the middle of "Have You Ever Loved A Woman" after playing a blistering guitar solo.

  • o man this is such an epic version of the song! definitely the best i have heard. the crossroads dvds are really great, i wish this was on them.

  • Where in the world can I find this recording?? Itunes doesn't seem to have it and this is my absolute favorite version of this song!!! He played it like this on his tour this year!

  • @Stonebridbge : I was there for the 2004 CGF, and it was fantastic. You can buy a DVD of the event online. I don't know where to find a single of this version of the tune, though.

  • good hawks i agree

  • "I began to think of Jeff as probably the finest guitar player that I'd ever seen...there's something cool & mean about Beck that just beats everyone else." Eric Clapton

  • @TNO73

    Clapton wont bring anyone down

  • @TheHawksTalon

That is pretty much the same as JB he doesn't say he is the best it is the aforementioned musicians like Eric that say he is.

  • @TNO73

ok he makes a complment ur point is

  • and clapton also said buddy guy is the best guitar player alive. hes also said many things about jimi hendrix, SRV, roy buchanan, sonny landreth, etc... whats your point? jeff obviously has a unique style but no one is the best. im sure no one denies jeff's greatness but there are plenty who say great things about clapton like EVH for example. why is this even an argument here?

  • @TNO73 Agree 100%. Beck is one of the most respected guitar players, especially by other players. In fact, if you've picked up a guitar and learnt to play it, you have massive respect for Beck. No-one has produced the sheer variety of brilliance he has.

  • "Jeff Beck is my idol. Guy gets notes from nowhere, you know? Sometimes he finds notes that I just do NOT have on my guitar." Ritchie Blackmore

  • Also I just want to say that the people here are OBVIOUSLY die hards or don't know much about JB. Still I realized that my statements are subjective. The reason I think JB is better is he has always moved forward. Most guitar magazines will say the same thing Beck is not as popular cuz 1. re record sporadically 2. it is mainly insturmental 3. he doesn't rest on his laurels as much as the likes of Clapton & Page. EC is blues JP still plays heavy rock. JB on he other hand plays it all.

  • CLAPTON IS GOD !!!!

  • u must be sick the head clapton says that he would say bb is better then him to cause hes a very gracious person but no one can improvise like clapton

  • @TNO73

Eric Clapton has class he respects everybody and would never upstage anyone clapton knows he is the best and doesnt need too prove anything

  • @TheHawksTalon

OK sure there is no BEST guitarist, but when the likes of Ritchie Blackmore, Jon Bon Jovi, Terry Bozzio, Chas Chandler (speaking about Hendrix) Eric Clapton, Ace Frehley, David Gilmour, Buddy Guy, Steve Lukather, Sir George Martin, Brian May, Jimmy Page, Les Paul, Joe Perry, Joe Satriani, Slash, Steve Stevens, Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lemmy, Paul McCartney. I have quotes from all of them saying that Beck is pretty much the ONE.

  • I would give my life to see Billy and Eric live for another time. R.I.P

  • Who's playing at 6.02?

  • Doyle Bramhall II

  • Thank you.

  • the solo is freaking awesome..

  • all of claptons solos at cgf 04 are insane. listen to i shot the sheriff at crossroads guitar festival. the solo is abosolutely ridiculous.

  • @manjavo

read the comments on that video, I think you're rediculous or you play the bong guitar.

  • i could listen to clapton solos over badge all day

  • yeah where did u get this version

  • waaaaaaw ... I guess, Gadd on drums and East on bass. Who's on B3Organ, Preston or Greg Phillinganes?

  • That's billy Preston

  • @danigoni nooo lol

  • @danigoni : Yeah, I was at that concert. Unfortunately, Billy died in June of 2006. Billy was known as "the Fifth Beatle" due to all he had collaborated/played with them. He also toured/played with the Stones, Clapton, Dylan, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, and just about every other greats of the day. Really cool guy, God love him.

  • doyle's solo on the end is so amazing, toobad we can't hear it that good :(

  • Where in the world did you get these songs from? Torrent? Lime wire? I'd love to have em' . ;)

  • Both 2004 and 2007 Crossroads are available on DVD, but Badge appears to be left out of the DVD release.

  • I have both of the DVDs! I just hate that some of the songs were edited for time constrants and so on. I'd love to have the soundboard recordings for both festivels.

  • Yes but there is a secret version of Layla on the 2004 DVD set.

  • thats commom knowledge bud, but thanks anyways. I've seen the layla video sevral times, and it's a great version
