  • Love the harmonizing at the end. Goosebumps!

  • Another underrated Canadian band...

I am still shocked to this day that this song never got the airplay that it should have got on American stations.... America missed the boat on this one...

  • The Queen City Kids are from the Queen city, Regina.

  • what memories ! I didn´t know they were from Winnipeg until I searched this song here!

  • The Pumps, Orphan, Queen City Kids were all local Winnipeg bands we used to follow and listen to in the early 80's. These videos bring back a lot of good memories.

  • Still one of my fav.songs! One of the best.....

  • This was a great band. It's wonder why they were just a flash in the pan.

  • I was lead guitarist and vocals in a band called Lucky Street. we were booked for a gig as the frontline band to The Pumps. I was a big fan of them and of course Orphan. I used to have the single's "Success" and "Bust The TV" Miss those days!

  • Man, I totally played this cassette into the ground as a kid, another great Canadian album. Managed to find, and import, a double CD of "Lonely at Night / Salute" from the UK years ago, had already been searching for CD copy for ages. First time I saw them, they were opening for the Payolas in Saskatoon. Think my favourite song on LAN is "Saved by the Bell", but really, the whole album is worth listening to.

  • Just another great Canadian band look over these guys are funkin wicked.seen them twice.

  • Ron, the drummer was my cousin.

  • This is the greatest song... RIP Ron.

  • Wow i remember this song from 1983, holds a memorie i'll never forget.

  • Saw them live in Kenora years ago when I lived there! I remember the saluting army lady on the drum, as they were on tour with their new album "SALUTE" of which I had a cassette of but somebody stole it!

  • wonder who the kid on the album cover is and what he is doing now?

  • its me, lol, I was orphan and still orphan 26 years later....love this song, sounds like the way I feel, Its a miracle...Yeah, Yeah, yeah its a miracle, seems alright baby...

  • Check out my videos for another Orphan gem - "That's the Way It Should Be", from 1985's Salute album!!!

  • love this song...I met Chris a couple times...really down to earth guy and very talented. One of Winnipeg's finest.

    Keep on rockin' Chris.

  • Chris Burke Gaffney will always rule the Peg!!!

  • wow my dad was the singer!! your terrys son?

  • R u Ron's child? Grown up now :) I used to hang out with your dad and mom. I was married to Steve McGoven the guitar player.

  • @briannamcnabb21 My name is Ron and I knew your dad very well. He was quite a character.

  • Here is something that has been missed by the Americans... Great song by a band out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada... And America missed out on this? Wow!

  • One of the few albums I remember buying where I absolutely loved almost every song on it...now when I check out a CD of some current artist, there's one or two good songs and the rest is utter Schmidt. I particularly loved Lonely At Night, What Kind Of Love Is This, Night Parade, and Saved By The Bell. Awesome band that almost nobody knew, even back in the 80's.

  • THANKYOU!!!!

This Manitoba Girl living in Sask, almost pee'd when I saw this...NO ONE out here knows what I'm talking about when I talk about this band...when are you going to add Lonely at nite???

  • This song is now available on iTunes Canada - 99 cents for a crystal clear CD quality verison of it!

What are you waiting for...? Go get it!

  • you have to go to a reunion show. They sell the pumps and orphan compilation on one cd. Very cool and doesn't sound as good as the vynyl though.

  • OMG I cant believe I found this Thnk You so much!! My Aunt used to be Married to Steve's Brother, and My dad partied with these guys all the Time, This is amazing Sound Love these guys Thnx Agian!!!

  • looked for this song forever love it!!!!!!

  • Long live Orphan!

  • Another great Winnipeg band.

  • then you go ahead and call them niggers, well just because your jelous smokeaphatsack3 and know youll never be able to play like them doesnt mean you can put down a band that will always be better than you.

  • loved this band, saw them in 80's with headpins in Montreal! great shit long live 80's rock!

  • There is live footage of them on YouTube while they went under the name "Deadbeat Honeymooners". Search for the song "Dial Love"!

  • they're also on myspace under The Pumps because that is what they are called now, NOT Orphan as that other guys has stated....

  • Orphan was 100 times better than The Pumps.

They had better musicians and producers.

Too bad they never made it big in the USA.

They were better than most bands coming out of the States during that time. Bon Jovi only made it because chicks dig the singer. They cannot come up with good music for the past 20 years.

  • Classic. Anyone have live footage of Orphan. One of my favorites to this day.
