Yes but we reach perfection after choosing Him. We choose to be perfected by His defenition of perfection, if He revealed Himself we wouldn't have that choice because we would assume, by seeing His awesome perfection, that His defenition of perfection is absolute.

You know God did show Himself. He personally came into the world as Jesus so that we may know Him, so that He could save us from our sins. There's really no 'proof' in the sense that you want. But theres just something about the this message of the Gospel that just draws me in that makes me believe that it is real even if I can't logically rationalize all of it.

If i was god, i'd do a far better job though, this isn't arrogance, it's just that with what your saying, he is literally the most bestest person ever in the world ever, and he's amazing, and he can do ANYTHING he wants.

obvioulsy he doenst want people to know he exists, because he is built on faith, so i would do something that would cause the world to have a revelation, and start working together, and probably do it by making eveyrone not beleive in me, or any god. being god, i'd find a way

bum91 I enjoy your way of thinking, you think outside the box. The problem with God making us not believe in Him is that He knows that He's the bestest and He know's that He created us to find full satisfction in Him. He's so great that the best satisfaction, the greatest joy and complete happiness is found in Him, and He wouldn't dare deprive us of that.

As for faith, God wants us to choose Him. If he revealed Himself completely we wouldn't have a choice but to choose Him, because He is so great. He's simply preserving our right to free will. if you give a starvin person food, he will have no choice but to eat it, food is a need, Jesus is our need. Nut when we do choose Him, by faith, then He begins to reveal Himself.

Yes He does want us all in heaven. But like I said, the problem with revealing Himself is that He would be violating our right to free will, which He gave us, He doesn't want us to be robots. If He did reveal Himself, we would become like robots and go to Him because we have an instinctive desire for Him, my illustration again: if you give a starving person food they have no choice but to eat it.

sometimes God works in ways that we cannot understand. He chooses to give, and to take away. But He is good regardless. Because where we may not understand why God may not heal someone; which He could heal an amputee if He chose to; God ultimately can use it for the best in His will. "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." -Rom 8:28 NLT

So no matter what, in the end, we who are saved by His grace and living in His will and purpose can know that everything will be good. And God's good is the best we could ever want, or ask for.

Hmm...There's a difference between "can't" and "doesn't." Just because a god doesn't heal amputees does not mean that he can't. Some say that prayer "does not work" for amputees, but theists will tell you that god is not a vending machine: you cannot just put in "prayer quarters" and get healing. Any reasonable god would have free will, which means he can choose whether or not to heal a person. To say that a concept of god is incoherent because this god does not bow to your will is non-sequitur.
