Super Mario Bros. 3 has always been one of my absolute favorite Mario games of all time and your arrangement fits the upbeat and happy tone of the piece perfectly.

On sort of a side note, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (for Super Nintendo) also had a fantastic score (composed by Yoko Shimomura), and I wouldn't mind hearing some pieces from that game if you ever get around to it XD

Do you rest your pinky on the guitar? A teacher I had for two months told me not to do it, but told me it's common in Lute guitar, but bad in Classical Fingerstyle. Is it that bad?

It is not so bad or good. It depends upon your guitar style :)

As for me, i do not rest on the guitar face but sometimes rest on the first string with my right ring finger so that i mute the first string intentionally not to make a wrong harmony. For example, you can see this "silent" technique on my "Reminicing CC" video.

@ToonLinkTink i think thats just a thing that some do and others dont. as lonlon said it's not bad or good. when i play electric guitar i rest my pinky on the guitar most of the time, when i play classical i dont, but i think only because the guitar body is farther away from the strings than on my electric.

This is an "artificial harmonic". This technique requires you to softly "touch" with your right index finger at 15 fret position of 2nd string and then pluck with your right ring finger while pressing on your left middle finger on 3rd fret. Then very quickly do the same thing on 1st strings pressing on 2nd fret and "soft touching" 14th fret position :) Please have a look at my " FFVII Anxious Heart" video futuring the same technique.
