Hitman Pro can work WITHOUT an internet connection. If you check the last checkbox under Settings (Early Warning Scoring) Hitman Pro will scan and report files that are behaving suspiciously. But in this mode you must know what you are doing as it is for advanced computer users.
According to a reaction on Wilders Security Forums the conclusion of this video is incorrect.
Hitman Pro did remove all malware. It is MBAM that is incorrectly listing malware that isn't there. The pfx* files arrounf 6:20 are all 0 bytes in size and the apparent backdoor isn't a backdoor at all but just two dangling registry key's.
Well something was still on there that killed the internet. I am not going to dive really deep into cleaning a system becasue I am reviewing the programs not how to clean a system. And it did not clean very well becasue as you saw the internet was dead.
The internet being dead is usually caused by a Winsock problem. When you remove malware Winsock usually gets mixed up (due to LSP chaining that gets interupted) and needs a repair with a Winsock repair tool. It is not due to that there is still malware on the system.
I know what the problem is, like I said I don't want to do a review on how the system is cleaned but how the program works. It should have definitely fixed it if it has to rely on the net for the cloud technology.
why do you always do a quick scan....
