Beautiful tribute to one of the World's most naturally talented song writer and musician, John Denver! I grew up listening to his music and even named one of my dogs, Sunshine :) Thank you for sharing this video!
There was an instrumental on one of John's albums that I had when I was a kid. I've been looking and listening to all of the vids here on youtube. Do you have any idea what the title of that song might be??
I dedicate all JD songs to my friend Soondren. You used to buy the JD lp's bru. Way back in da day in Unit 5 Chatworth, Durban, South Africa. Hope you well. You may think I have forgotten u. But JD keeps me in tune with my good ol days in SA.
I moved to Colorado because John Denver introduced me to it when I was 12 living in KC. I have been here for 30 years and love my state everyday. I can still hear your voice when I'm up in the mountains, miss you John...xo
its really nice that their are still people out there that dont forget my uncle and all of the great music, and all the different people he brought together throughout his life, seeing his old house and hearing this song reminds me of all the christmas me and my family spent at his home, and all the wonderful memories ,no matter how much time goes by, i will never forget my uncle and the important role his music has played in my life, and soon to be the lives of my children thank you for this
@crazywayz77 No I thankyou so nice to hear from a relative of the great man , i love music and am mainly from Rock genre but John made such beautiful music hard to ignore - just magic , glad my vid was appreciated by his Family , his music will never die .--trichoone .
@crazywayz77 I love the songs from John Denver. I am from Germany and I have record sets from John Denver's music. Thanks to a person like you .... You keep him alive in people's heart. Beautiful phothographs with the song.
@crazywayz77 hi mr denver is a legend to me,, as a boy in growing up in the uk john was my dads idol and he played all these hits while i was growing up,, these songs are inprinted in my memories but now im a man i can really appreciate... john will always live on all over the world ... respect i would love to have met him
@crazywayz77 Great to hear from you. I had the pleasure of meeting John back many years ago. To this day he remains my favorate. I listen to John's music often and I can't wait to meet him again in heaven.
The sound quality gives it that rustic, cool touch Denver meant for the song. I like it. It makes me think of a lazy summer day on a porch out in the country.
Brings back memories...back in 1972, I met my first horse Star when she was a year old and I was 13. We went on to show in many different events through the years....and her show name? "Aspenstarwood". Star became very well known in horse show circles because not only was she very talented, she was also a horse born and raised in the mountains and was as sure-footed as a cat and absolutely fearless in any environment...not traits usually found in show horses. Aspenstarwood-3/29/71-2/27/95
I don't know whatever happened to Kevin Smith from B-Btry 2?27 Friedberg, West Germany but I sure hope he found peace when he got home to Denver. Former US Army Sergeant Willie Means bilbo2shire
bunch of wood hippies built an outdoor ampitheater. first show, had the dirt band, and a band called Starwood. Show was going on great. I' standing at the top of the "bowl" with a lady that meant a lot to me and this guy walks up beside me. I look at him turn to her, said, hey he looks just like John Denver. she looks around me says, thats because it IS john denver. seems he was sponsering the band Starwood. We had a great time that day.
I live in Copper, lived 10 years in Vail, moved to Colo., from the big city, back in '79. This song sums up the local's truth, "just another day in paradise", for most of us, young or old. The joy of Colorado is awesome, such positive energy, whether the mountain tops or the valleys, in the Colorado Rockies, here in the high country. Recon is right!
For some reason I don't have this song. Haven't heard it in at least a few years, yet I picked it right up again and sang along like I'd heard it yesterday. Such a sweet tune, and the lyrics are wonderful.
In 1986 I made my 1st of many trips to Colorado.I was 27-imagine that. I went to Aspen just to see if I might run into John. I had breakfast in a nice little place by where I had spent the night. While I was eating-John came in with another guy and sat at the table near me. What was the chances of that?
There won't be another songwriter and singer like John. His voice touched so many lives. Just to hear his music brings back many wonderful memories of a more simple time. You can listen to his music and sing along even if you haven't heard the song in years. R.I.P. John
1976 a bunch of us wood hippies built an outdoor ampitheater in a lil town in Missouri first show, the Dirt Band, Brewer/Shipley and a band called Starwood. Lady friend of mine holding my hand at the top of the hill, said look what you did. Fella walks up on the other side of me I look at him then tell her, he looks just like John Denver. She laughed, said It is John Denver. He was there to watch the band he sponsered. Starwood. We had a great weekend. He got onstage and played and sang for fun
@Kallmedoc The Band was "The Starland Vocal Band" - not Starwood - Denver lived in a place called Starwood - a ntown in Aspen, Colorado - which was an old farm - with lots of acreage - that was converted into a nieghborhood of very expensive lots!!!!!!
I found out he died that one cold night night. i was all alone, my wife left me. I was watching the news and i watched the tv and saw he died, the i took out john's first album, put it on, and jerked my dick like there was no tomorrow
I was going to night-classes after work on the day after John's death in 1997, when my brother came to meet me to tell me the news. I went to class, but didn;t hear a word. All I could think of was such a large part of my youth, suddenly gone. John Denver lived the life of a romantic poet - touched by pain and elevated by the beauty of nature to which he was attuned. Thanks for this video/montage and thanks to JD for being "the best that you could be"....
the beautiful fresh inspiring nature lovin', free spirited music of John Denver helped my live my life in my searching youthful years, and was still a treasure in my ensuing years... John Denver, I love ur spirit and ur soul! I wept intermittently for about 3 days on hearing of ur departure, but i prayed and i still pray, that God will watch over U always and care for U. I had a dream to visit and meet U and i gez it will have to be in heaven when my time is up. U have my grateful tearful love..
Another lovely scenic video to one of John's best songs. Very apt views that show us what he is singing about. You are truly missed John, the world is a sadder place without your personality, conservationism, music, voice and wide grin ! RIP John (hope you met Steve Irwin at the gates and are enjoying fine conversations about all aspects of life on this beautiful planet)
John Denver will always be my favorite singer. I still have the ticket stub from Nov. 16, 1976. The tickets sold for $10. I'll never forget him or his music.
his voice makes you dream, it seems to see an eagle flying slowly over the mountains, seems to breathe the fresh air ... even in Italy in Milan we appreciate the great Denver! I learned this song with the guitar when I was 15 years ... good to hear that again. Thanks john

Really makes me want to cry, reminds me of my dad and I was little sittin' up at our camp in the South-Eastren mountains of Pennsylvania during Christmas ha with pancakes cookin' and good old John on the ancient turntables that we had how beutiful that was there is absolutly nothing better in the whole world
that's funny, reminds me of my dad. was just a young boy and parents had just gotten a divorce. laid in bed in the dark with my dad who was always listening to John Denver. Music still haunts me. Great songwriter and beautiful melodies.Long time ago but can still feel his music. Good old 70's, quite a time.
We are so missing the simplistic message of John Denver's music. Don't know about the rest of you, but this song takes me back to a time of innocence and belief in my fellow man. When you look at our world today, 9/11 Iraq, GWB, it's hard to remember that once upon a time, we WERE so innocent....
Miss him, miss what he meant to us, miss who we were Way Back Then...
Nice video!! I saw John Denver in concert 23 times - most in Atlanta where he came almost every year! And I have twin daughters - Jessie Belle and Anna Katie!! JD was a truly gifted man, that made the most of what he was given. I miss his music dearly!!
It was great to see him "evolve" on stage - in the 70's he was unsure of his performance and his music and voice!! By the mid 80's he was a true, experienced, gifted tenor and comfortable on stage. By the 1990's he owned the audience -- and he knew it and took full advantage. Every concert was very enjoyable. He was a truly gifted stage performer, singer and writer! I was 44 when he died -- and I sat in my living room and cried like a child for over an hour. I miss him still!
As long as I live I will never forget John Denver and I thank God for his songs and what a blessing he was to the world.
