its actually the whole ford like design center. they have a ford building with jaguar volvo ford that is used for the spectator parking..but they just like helping out the socal car community by allowing us to use their parking lot, plus they usually show off some of their cars, in the form of mazdas randomly parked throughout the car lot, and ford co. concept cars.

I do see a lot of testing cars the new M3 X5 or some sorta SUV on the freeways before there commercial release though. do you know where irvine spectrum is. its right there on gateway street. gateway is like a small street the only thing there is the ford design center which is where this event it held. just look for irvine spectrum on google maps or something mapquest. and youll find gateway it connects to it.

I've just read it's only the standard ones that are illegal. Apparently for the last few years there has been a conversion available which can make old ones road legal.

It was my understanding that there is only one 959 in the US legally and that is only for display. It can't be driven at all on roads or tracks. I think any 959 driven at all in the US can be impounded if caught.
