if you have, you know that swords are made of metal... a blade that size would require so much training to even be able to lift, you would not be able to effectivly slash it around, if you managed to lift it up and let gravity do it`s work it would still be slow. it`s better to go the middleway, there is a reason swords like this never existed

Clouds/Zachs/Angeals Zanbatou is of Indian origin, and was rarely used because of its weight, but was designed to take down horses and elephants quickly.

Sephiroths Masamune is a traditional Japanese Nodachi, designed to be used from horse back against foot-soldiers and other cavalry.

Angeal uses a wonderfully stylized claymore.

Think it was a Zankanta? lol like i said, not sure what its name is at the moment but the shear size of the blade prevented it from being used other than horizontally and vertically. And it didnt really cut an opponet so much as crush them with its weight, the size of the blade preventing the action as its weight combined with the force of the user outweighted the temperance of the blade. Grr the second i remember ill post the name.
