  • @JD27076 There's no need of rushing to praise Jesus.

  • Franks voice was sent From God R.I.P brother frank

  • They took that song down to the river and buried it. And that choir director stomped it on down 6 more feet!!

  • @ 5:36 The choir director knew that it was time to take the song to the next level. That was a dynamic that changed the entire song! The director knows something about that song to be able to direct it that way....perfect.

  • EVERY TIME I HEAR THIS I REMEMBER MY GREAT GRANDMOTHER . SHE LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH. WE PLAY IT AT HER FUNERAL ON MAY 27, 2005

  • Like a friend once said the William Brothers can sneeze and it will sound good, Bro. Frank Williams could sing anything and it will be soothing to my soul. I love his singing sooo! much. I wish I could have heard him sing in person, but at least we do have videos of him. I also enjoy the Williams Brothers just as much. The Jackson Southernaires were still going strong after Frank's death but I still miss his voice. May he continue to rest in peace.

  • Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Franklin D. Williams

    June 25, 1947 thru March 22, 1993

  • they sung that, not sing sung that .wow

  • dis song really touch my soul

  • There is no better musical sound than listening to the old skool choir sound.

  • Love this

  • Haha, that just rolls all over this Louisiana boy. Mmmm sing it people!

  • Don't that intro make you want to explode!????

  • They should have let Frank sing the whole song, Angela Curry ruined the rest of the song because he had already set the tone for the song ...

  • @westnar1

Be silent Satan - That woman is singing the praises of the Living God.

  • @JurisArcane Since neither one of us GOD, please refrain from the rebuking...And allow the rest of us to enjoy the song!!!!

  • @westnar1

You don't have to be GOD to rebuke the evil one - read your Bible. "Us" as in "we" actually are enjoying the music. "You" were the one who said..and I quote "Angela Curry ruined the rest of the song". Didn't sound to me like you were enjoying it.

Like I said, be silent Satan - that woman is singing the praises of the Living God.

  • @JurisArcane If you don't like what I am saying then please don't respond to me...I have the right to say that the rest of the song was ruined by the offpitchness of the other singer... DO NOT refer to me as satan because you are neither qualified to view me as such and YOU cannot speak for everyone at all...I stated that I enjoyed one part of the song and not the second half....So what? I WILL CONTINUE TO POST MY OPINIONS AND IF YOU DONT LIKE IT-tough...

  • @westnar1

Exactly, and I will post mine. So take your own advice, if you don't like what I'm saying, don't respond. I'm a musician with 30 years of experience, a vocalist, and a recording engineer, and I have perfect pitch. She was not off pitch at all. The entire song is a blessing.

And just to clarify, I didn't call you Satan. I rebuked the Spirit of Satan, that was oozing from your flesh-oriented, venom soaked words.

Be silent Satan - That woman is singing the praises of the Living God.

  • @JurisArcane Wonderful, from the previous posts you have repeatedly said satan get thee behind. Now, you don't have to know all the bible to take offense. As far as your credentials congrats....I stated my opinion and you responded to me...If you are of God, then you might need to take a refresher course on the judgemental tone of your posts from now on.You win more souls for christ through love not strife. If I were new to the faith and I met someone like you I don't think I would follow you.

  • @westnar1

Good, because I am a man. If you follow me, I'll let you down. As for judgement and tone, how many souls do you think may have been won to Christ as a result of this song? The whole point of the song, is to glorify Christ, and Him crucified, not sit before a panel of skeptics, to be exposed to earthly criticism. It is sacred, and precious. It, like the condition of someone's soul, my friend, does not need to be judged. There is only one, who criticizes the praises of God's people.

  • @JurisArcane I am glad you realize that you are a man...And being a musician you should be used to critiques from listeners since that is your livelihood. Now, I have said what I wanted to say concerning the song...I liked half and disliked the other half.I have no problem with you disagreeing with me..But do it respectfully...And when I wrote about not following you...I assumed you were someone who ministered christ through your music my mistake. All things are open to criticism.its human nature

  • @westnar1

If you don't knock this nonsense off, I'm going to rebuke you again.

  • Now you talk about golden vocals. I get chils everytime I listen to it. Old School songs sang with so much meaning.

  • Even to have herd the rehearsal of this wonderful performance would still have been a "WOW"!

  • did both of them die ?

  • Frank Williams rendition of "In the Cross" is above and beyond others I've heard. A total masterpiece, sung from the heart, straight to Heaven...with Angela Curry flying the jet and parking it on the streets of Gold. Frank was strong and in top form as he belted out this Spiritual. One day, we will hear him sing again!!

  • My mom use to play this tape (not cd :) when I was about 6 or 7 years old...but it wasn't until I got older that I could really appreciate the words of this song. "There's a precious fountain, free to all, a healing stream"....simply beautiful

  • @HisChild1985 I was just thinking about the same thing. It used to be the only thing we listened to in the car!

  • 2:50 is where it kicks in .....and ooooooh is so so so good!

  • Absolutley beautiful

  • So anointed and fill with God's presence!

  • HAPPY RESSURECTION DAY SAINTS!!!!!!

  • just beautiful

  • My God Frank sings like an angel on here. And Angela is angelic too. I just love the Mass for keeping the traditional songs alive.

  • I don't think I've ever heard this song more beautifully done. It is so appropriate for this Holy Week celebration of the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Praise God for Jesus.

  • near the cross is were i wish to always be,near my God to thee!!!there were i'll found my rest just beyoud the river Amen!!!

  • I just want to say that I've been going through alot lately..... This song has truly touched me! Thank you "LORD" for this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Now that some singn ryte der glory to god one of ma Fav songs

  • So powerful, what an assurance. Blessed be the Lamb. Shad

  • That ending "... Rest beyond the river..." Every time I listen to it I come to tears.

  • wow this was so beautiful

  • Giving Glory to God. I just don't see how people can be NEGATIVE on this PAGE! God is good and the musicians and the singers are great they make a wonderful combination and move my soul everytime I hear this song!

  • Seems as though the organist is trying to upstage the choir and soloist with all of his jive moves on the Leslie speaker and his weird non musical riffs. However, if you wanna see how to do it, watch Twinkie Clark. The greatest, most tasteful player.

  • @yamaho5 Actually I think it's the eq of the video. The cd and tape aren't like this. I can hear when the bass player messed up on here, but not on the cd. Post Production-overdubs.

  • @yamaho5 sad....

  • Oh my goodness, what a beautiful presentation from Brother Williams.

  • Angella Curry did very good

  • WOW.just listening to this just takes my breath away. the anoiting is so high on this video and the singing's perfect. what a legacy this man left, not just the body of Christ, but to the whole world. He will give you wonderful rest. Amen.

  • i love the way he just stands there and sing it with his heart and soul. I love the lord

  • LORD TOUCH ME AGAIN WITH YOUR PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT! FREE TO ALL A

HEALING STREAM FLOW FROM CALVARY'S MOUNTAIN, IN THE CROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Frank Williams was an icon in his time and he left such a legacy for the choir to follow and they are carrying on with the Holy Spirit guiding them He was such an humble servant of the Lord. He is so greatly missed with such a humble spirit toward God. This song has such a deep message until it still bring about a weeping in my spirit, knowing god had me on His mind when He hung on the Cross just for me. He paid my sin debt and your aslo.

  • hey_ÄÑÿÓnÉ_wÀñnà_chÀt_wÌth_mÉ_í_féêl_sö_lønèlý_tØDÄY

  • While my father has transferred to heaven this was his favorite song and just makes me miss him more Thank you Jesus for him

  • In a world where war is raging, people forsake their own families, and love is just a four letter word, it's nice to kno that i can still depend on Jesus. Thank u Lord for salvation

  • EUROPE : I WHICH YOU ALL THE BEST. PLEASE REGISTER IN MY FORUM : SEE : FORUMPLUS IN GOOGLE ,

  • The choir's hand clap at 8:35 is SWEET!!! They sang almost the entire song without clapping until that moment. Just SWEET! Much discipline. Love it!

  • @timonious2037 NICE OBSERVATION

  • @timonious2037 or they can just watch the choir director...

  • @timonious2037 I listen/watch to this song on average once a week. Typically replaying the first 3 minutes about `10 times. That said, I haven't noticed the clapping until you pointed it out. Awesome!

  • This REALLY blessed me! This is the kind of song that you can't just 'sing." You have to feel it...have been "there" before.

  • GREAT SONG
