Some older responses, but just to clarify. "U.S. Male" changed their name to "Truth Inc" not "The Truth". If you can find their album, it has this track on it and is just a great album from top to bottom. These are the same writers who did Howard Hewett "Show Me" and Jody Watley "Take Me in Your Arms" which are both epic slow jams.
songs like this; although obscure; are timeless treasures. that classic r&b sound will never die and will always set a romantic tone. keep these rare treasures alive forever. thanx youtube.
Man that R&B sound of the 80's and 90's. Nothing like it. I use to rewind this song over and over. I still have the tape but that song is warped, but will still rock it. I need to find the cd. Thanks for having great taste in music.
I love this song, I wish I could go back to the mid-80's & early 90's when Donnie Simpson was hosting Video Soul on BET along with Video Vibrations & Midnight Love. just real music like, Janet, Anita Baker, Babyface, Guy, New Edition, etc. Take it back to that era and stay there.
THANKS FOR POSTING , I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH, I USED TO SING THIS JAM, WHILE I WAITED FOR THE BUS TO WORK, THOSE NOTES HE HITS ARE CRAZY. SOUNDS LIKE GERALD LEVERT. AWESOME .GOD BLESS
Yes this is my favorite track of the Five Heartbeat soundtrack...but the song is that have this same track..is by Janet Jackson Come Back To Me..thats my favorite JJ song
@bigfacehuns This is got me eager to go back to making mixed music cds and tapes. I have these songs you all are talking about. New Jack City all that good music.
He was our choir directer and I did a pic of his mom Janetta Bradley. He also was the back up singer for Robert Townsend on the movie. He lived wit us for a second. And he owes me money. I hope he reads this and this is Jeff Wraggs. The whole family has skills from Rocmon, Sheed, The sister, The Mama
I used to have this album and tape and I would rewind it over and over just to hear this song again and again. The whole soundtrack is excellent, but I espcially love this song. Just recently discovered it here on youtube!
For anyone concern - The vocalist name singing this song is Daryl Conway from Kansas City, Mo. - Producers: John Coffey & Terry Nettlesby - The three were in a group named 'US Male' later to be changed to 'The Truth' - enjoy!
I love this song because it reminds me of me and my boyfriend holding each other and dancing in my granny's kitchens thank for the post and where can I download it at?
Man, I love this song too. It's crazy, because it sounds like something that Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis would write and Produce. In fact, when it starts, it sounds a lot like a song that they DID produce, "Making Love in the Rain" by Herb Alpert.
Oh wow, now that you mentioned that, it does kind of sound like "Making Love in the Rain". Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are some very talented and gifted songwriters/producers. I like this song because it's a rarity. Whoever wrote this song certainly outdid themselves....it's that great! :-D
