Most of these structures, esp. the smaller ones, are measuring the temperature of remaining underground nuclear sludge, and the water table depth to see if the radioactivity is changing the water table based on temperatures. Go educate yourself numb nuts. Fly to Reno, NV. Rent a 4x4. Drive down to Tonopah then take US6 past 'Base Camp' and turn left at Hot Creek Road (38.447228N 116.165957W) and follow it to the Faultless test site at (38.634103N 116.215927W). It's on public land, nobody will spank you or talk harshly to you. Then you can see things for yourself instead of making cr@p up about things you've only seen on fuzzy old pictures. Stupid soundtrack is about the only creepy thing about this.
Get yourself some on-site education. Go to Faultless where you can see and touch the steel liner from the test bore. What happens is that after the blast the half mile long liner is held by surface rock. As the collapse of the temporary cavity continues the rock falling in supports the bottom. By the time the surface falls the concrete filled liner is standing on rock, so it stays at ground level and the ground falls. Mostly that's your artifacts. NE of Basecamp E of Tonopah.

They're burying contaminated topsoil, putting in more test sites (or were, until 1993), building site disposal fields (even burying stuff in subsidence craters), not filling with concrete but merely grading the dirt. These rigs that you are showing are actually testing sites for radiation. first they would excavate a hole for a nuke and a tunnel for the blast to go down, then set up an experiment on the other side, finally they set the nuke off and gather data. The large bunker like structures are the tunnels and blast doors to keep the massive shockwave from destroying the experiments. The other random objects one the surface are probably observation bunkers.

Obviously, all of your highly secret research was done on conspiracy theory web sites. Quite a few of those structures were recognizable, had you bothered to do proper research.
If you're so interested in government activity, maybe you should check out their web sites or maybe even wikipedia, because some of those structures were built for testing conventional bombs. One of them was easily recognizable as a test rig for bunker-busting bombs.

A lot of the testing conducted during our development of atomic weapons regarded the safety precautions that might be taken to mitigate some of the effects of radiation; I wouldn't be surprised that some of this equipment is there to study the protective effect of filling a crater that was formed say, in the middle of Manhattan, with concrete to absorb or deflect the residual radiation.

It is water. Nevada does get precipitation, there is ground water. Maybe you should take a closer look at the area. There are 100's of lake beds there and they go dry and fill with water frequently. The tell tail signs are the evidence of water streams in the craters.

Settlement over weeks, even months, occurs and these need to be monitored and sealed. Many craters retain equipment to allow remote monitoring of each site. So they blew up a chunk of earth to "test" the bombs, but why are they renovating the land and putting up structures and building quarries in them and even filling some with concrete? There would be radiation left over, but why measure it if they know it depletes over the years? It just depends on how long after the detonations is to when they started renovating the sites.

They're burying contaminated topsoil, putting in more test sites (or were, until 1993), building site disposal fields (even burying stuff in subsidence craters), not filling with concrete but merely grading the dirt. There are no plans to build condos there; it will be contaminated for a long time. I doubt they'll ever be turned over to public use. They continue using it because its of no other use; for them that is a plus.

These rigs that you are showing are actually testing sites for radiation. first they would excavate a hole for a nuke and a tunnel for the blast to go down, then set up an experiment on the other side, finally they set the nuke off and gather data. The large bunker like structures are the tunnels and blast doors to keep the massive shockwave from destroying the experiments. The other random objects one the surface are probably observation bunkers.

Obviously, all of your highly secret research was done on conspiracy theory web sites. Quite a few of those structures were recognizable, had you bothered to do proper research.
If you're so interested in government activity, maybe you should check out their web sites or maybe even wikipedia, because some of those structures were built for testing conventional bombs. One of them was easily recognizable as a test rig for bunker-busting bombs.

It is a well known fact that the USA buys oil and puts it in the sphere, which is created by the blast. The caverns, depending on the size of the blast are completely lined with glass so anything from LNG to crude oil and other chemicals can be stored safely. They could be used to nuclear waste products too... Pretty simple huh?

BUT, every atomic blast WAS heavily instrumented, both before and after the blast, to monitor conditions before, during and after. They put a bunch of equipment, houses, etc out in the desert to study how the urban environment is affected by the heat, blast, and radiation effects of a nuclear weapon; at 6:12, that looks like a simulated colvert or something. Maybe they're measuring the pressure that might be found inside a tunnel the openings of which are perpendicular to a large shock wave. Maybe it isn't a big scary conspiracy.....

A lot of the testing conducted during our development of atomic weapons regarded the safety precautions that might be taken to mitigate some of the effects of radiation; I wouldn't be surprised that some of this equipment is there to study the protective effect of filling a crater that was formed say, in the middle of Manhattan, with concrete to absorb or deflect the residual radiation.

It would definitely be to measure the efficiency of the device. Since many of these isotopes have half-lives of MANY years (to say the least, one would need to monitor for a long time.
