As Omid Jalily I belong to the the Baha'i Faith which is a new world religion originated in Persia in the 19th century. It's purpose is to unite mankind. We believe all religions are essentially one and we worship one God. Among our principles are independent search for the truth, equality of men and women and eliminations of prejudice. We also don't take part in politics or any kind of contention and strife. Tell me that it's evil!
@knightofjustic We don't believe in the politics are run today. We are not allowed to engage in party politics or any kind of politics that are divisive. We believe in other ways to do politics based on principles of consultation and justice. I don't worry about how the baha'is will lead in the future. I worry about how politicians lead the world today
@jasonthemankiller how is it evil they believe in respecting others and there a cults out there that killed people cults that take money off innocent the bahai religion only wants peace but i do know why you call them evil apparently the bahai has a bad history with iran and iran shows allot of anger because it different
1 bahai is a muslim branch. 2 and christianity do all that only a few years ago a priest or nun would hit you if u got a question wrong or question there authority it only stopped now because the kids who were kit are now adults and put a end to it. islam has a law saying to cut off your hand if you break the law. and bahai does not command i met bahai people they never once mention anything about following there command dont even have to consider the founder as a great prophet
@jasonthemankiller bahai is a branch it started out islam but turned out something else Christianity is in some way a branch of Judaism if all of them followed jesus today there would be no christians just jews who believe jesus was the son of god. funny how your calling bahai a lie when you just wrote a whole list of lies not so long ago
@jasonthemankiller 1. We have bahai ID cards so that f.ex. baha'is going to a bahai meeting in another country can identify themself as a baha'i.
2. This i s a lie! Where should this money come from if this was the case??? On the contrary every baha'i can contribute to the faith freely and secretly as much as they want.
3. What hight priest? We don't have priests in the baha'i faith. The highest organ is the Universal House of Justice with 9 elected men.
@jasonthemankiller 4. It is usual in all religion to tell their members to obey the government and laws of the country they live unless it breaks the essentials of the faith. We baha'is believe in a world government, so naturally we would obey that too.
5. That's a lie! Baha'is are not allowed to wear arms unless essential. It was actually a fundamental break with the traditions in Islam that the faith should only be promoted through the pen and tongue and not with sword
@jasonthemankiller 6. Another lie! The Baha'i Faith (we never use the term bahaism) is an independent world religion with members all around the world. It originated i Persia in the 19th century. The founder Baha'u'llah was expelled to the Ottoman empire and lived his last years as a prisoner in Akka.area. This is the reason The Baha'i World Centre is now in Haifa, close to Akka. This happened long before Israel was created. Israeli citiziens still can't become baha'is.
@jasonthemankiller I know how the Islamic government and leadership in Iran see the Baha'i Faith, But you don't have to follow that path. You can do your own research and get in contact with the Baha'is and get firsthand information from them. Then you will see these claims are totally unfounded
I have made my research and i see Bahaism as a Zionist created satanic New Age evil cult and they must be stopped .You are brainwashing your children in to a cult and others .
I find Bahaism even more dangerous than satanism cuz at least satanism do not hide their believes but Bahaism do so Bahaism is much more evil than satanism and Iranians are Muslims and they hate Bahaism in fact everyone i know hates Bahaism .
@jasonthemankiller You know that the Iranians can only vote for the politicians accepted by the Guardian council.
I know many Iranian Muslims and they don't hate the Baha'is. In fact many Iranian Muslims are defending the Baha'is agains the lies and slander of the Iranian government and priesthood. If it's true everyone your know hate the Baha'i Faith you ought to expand your social network. It doesn't seem sound to you if you really want to seek the truth,
Those "muslim Iranian " you "know" are not Muslims .
In the Holy Quran we are told Mohammad was the last Prophet but Bahaism says your Bahaula is also a Prophet of Allah and no Muslim can accept that so i dont know what kind of "Muslim" you are talking about.
You are to brainwashed and you belong to the most evil cult in the world and when i hear about Bahaism i just loose my mind i cant help it.
@NowImInOverMyHead Probably because Bahai is about unity of religions and acknowledge Jesus Christ as a prophet or Manifestation of God, and the New Testament as a holy book from God.
@NowImInOverMyHead From Wikipedia: "Djalili was born in Chelsea, London to Iranian Bahá'í parents and is a Bahá'í himself." And he has been at a Norwegian Baha'i Winter School (I'm from Norway) and had presentations there. He is a Baha'i! I can't comment on the article in the christian magazine unless I see it.
@oystef2304 dont they believe every religion is right in there way and you dont have to believe this prophet is better than that prophet a bahai told be you dont have to even consider the bahai found as a major prophet
@knightofjustic Every religion is right in the sense they answer to the needs of the humanity at that time. A prophet is like physician that find the diagnosis of the humanity at that time and prescribes the right medicine. One medicine can be right at one time and harmful at another time. So the social laws and ordinances in each religion are different from time to time depending of the needs of the humanity at each time. Baha'is believe Bah'u'llah is the prophet for our time.
Unfortunately Iran has sunk so low from bastards getting their hands on its politics. They are ignoring the words of the Qu'ran itself along with the rights of its own people. "Let there be no compulsion in Religion"...
As if it's only the Bahais who suffer in Iran and not ALL IRANIANS. You know, that's what the Bahais are famous for in Iran: they only care about themselves.
@Rammbock what shall they do? they dont even are allowed to study in iran so how can you expect them to care about others? minoritys in iran like the bahais have a even harder life than the rest of the population under the regiem of the mullahs.
@khosrow@khosrow Ok, from the current point of view, you're right, and I was probably too harsh in my phrasing. But nevertheless, throughout their history, the Bahais stood out as very introverted with respect to the whole Iranian nation. e.g. Christians, Zoroastrians and (sometimes) even Jews usually mention the Iranian people at least once in their speeches.
After hearing Omid speak out like this I feel a greater respect and affection for the man. I was starting to weary of his ad appearances for some insurance company, but now I do not mind them at all.
@Tvdhakla In actuality, the Baha'i Faith Community has faced persecution since its inception in 1844. The last 3 decades, really, since the '79 'revolution' is merely the latest wave ...
Thanks, Omid. You have shed a light into a corner 'they' would try to keep dark. Thanks for your efforts, along with the acknowledgment of others who have lifted their voices. As more voices join in, the 'bats' must flee. Ultimately, it will happen.
The Baha'i Faith originates in Iran but has its world headquarters in the Holy Land Israel. It is a positive religion which promotes unity and peace. The Baha'i message and principles are so much needed in the world today! "So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth." "The earth is but one country and mankind its citizens." Let us all pray for these wrongly imprisoned Baha'is.
Thanks for using your status as a loved celebrity to bring light to this issue. May God continue to infuse these, and all other unjustly held prisoners, with courage and grace.

Bahaism is pure evil
Bahaism is satanism pure and simple
Bahaism is the most evil cult in the modern time
The one thing who is not allowed in Iran is satanism and Bahaism
In Iran we dont have so much against Zionism as we are against Bahaism
So i think you now can understand how much we Iranians are against Bahaism
And Omid i am very very disappointed at you for defending the Bahaist
And i am an Iranian telling you this.
