I try vert, its hard and im not good at it. I enjoy street more, it actually brings out what skateboarding is good for (travel), moving in one direction. Not back and forth like vert. No offense to vert skaters though they are awesome.

I just bought a 8.5 board and 56mm wheels to get started with this stuff.

I have skated for 9 years and believe me, it takes a fucking superhero to do what these guys do. I mean, one wrong move, hit the eject button just a millisecond too late when trying to land a new trick and you are at the bottom of the ramp collecting your teeth. At the same time you should be 100% consentrated on what you are doing at the moment.

if ur talking about the weel's bearing,i can say use ABEC7 but i would say ABEC11 if u want speed or ABEC9 as a mid term...use 5565 mm wheel size(55mm minimun 65mm maximun)to start of on the vert so you get a tight wheel that wont slip or lose speed this way you can learn faster and dont loosen it or make it tighter cause that is the measure used by pro skaters like hawk or sandro dias any other daubt just ask

a vert ramp is a half pipe, but the vert ramp goes vertical. you can also get half pipes that are smaller and not vert these are called mini ramps hope this helps
