@pantonm86 iphone 4s is rated as 1Ghz. Samsung at 1.2 . But in reality they are both underclocked. You will not get 1.2 Ghz in a galaxy S2. Neither will you in a 4S. The graphics capability of a 4S is vastly superior to the S2 (it uses the same PowerVR SGX GPU as that of a PS VITA but only in dual core configuration. The vita having a quad core configuration).

I never ever had any problem with samsung products after I bought it. Apple products however are, in my opinion, made to break up after few years if not mounts so people have to buy the new version that just came out. My first cellphone was a samsung and was thrown several times on walls...its still my back up phone.
All I want to say is - Samsung doesnt have the soul or capacity to understand what it takes to be a barista. How would someone so tied to copying ever know what it takes to create something of beauty. @pantonm86 iphone 4s is rated as 1Ghz. Samsung at 1.2 . But in reality they are both underclocked. You will not get 1.2 Ghz in a galaxy S2. Neither will you in a 4S. The graphics capability of a 4S is vastly superior to the S2 (it uses the same PowerVR SGX GPU as that of a PS VITA but only in dual core configuration. The vita having a quad core configuration).

@pantonm86 Coming to the screen size, the S2 is likened to a tablet more than a 'smartphone' due to its bulky screen size. The 4S retains the same resolution while retaining the retina display feature from the i4 which is stunningly beautiful. The 4S is clearly the winner here. Camera, S2 has an 8MP and so does the 4S. Not much difference there, so its at evens. the iphone 4S clearly wins out because of its PRACTICAL application other than the unorthodox features of the S2.

iphone 4s has a 8mp camera at the back, but a shitty impracticable VGA at the front.

@pantonm86 0.3 can have a great impact on Battery life. The question of being a real man/woman/hippo/ice cream doesn't come into doubt.
The VGA camera despite being used for photos, is meant for video calling. 720-1080p video calls over existing telecom bandwidths IS impractical. Be reasonable.

the difference in battery life in the larger screen seems to benefit the S2; looks like that retina display was rushed out and its power consumption was poorly optimised.
4g network.....720p impracticable? erm, no. very practical and very possible and very reasonable (assuming you dont have a shitty provider)

@iJames93i A lot has to do with comfort level and familiarity. Plus some apps are only available for either platform but usually games are most affected by exclusivity.
Depending on your package and carrier, either can be cheaper. I have t-mobile so the SII is WAY cheaper (since I would've need to get it unlocked for t-mo).

It might be silly to buy a smartphone currently for some but one-day in the next decade it is predicted that smartphones will literally be the sole product people buy when purchasing a computer and all you do is output to your laptop without a gpu or cpu or any of that. It will just be a foldable oled screen with a virtual keyboard and touchpad as the cellphone.

Apple's strength comes from its remarkable ability to put together existing technologies to create new values rather than from developing the technologies from scratch by themselves. Open an iPhone and almost none of it come from Apple itself.

@DylGio I use both apple and samsung products, I agree that apple is dedicated to customer satisfaction. The main thing I am not satisfied with is durability. I never ever had any problem with samsung products after I bought it. Apple products however are, in my opinion, made to break up after few years if not mounts so people have to buy the new version that just came out. My first cellphone was a samsung and was thrown several times on walls...its still my back up phone.
