If a few underage teenagers watch this and actually make these drinks then good for them. I have been drinking form the age of 15 ( not including the occasional glass in events) and i have absolutely no problem with it. Only time i had problem with alcohol was once that i had eaten nothing all day but thats it. Restricting alcohol i think is stupid.
There is something that has been bothering me for a while now, and it's time someone gave you a physics lesson. Layering has to do with the density of the liquid, not gravity. Gravity pulls down equally on all matter. The thicker and more dense a liquid is, the more it goes to the bottom. Irish Cream is more syrupy and denser than whiskey, and therefore it sinks. Generally, the thicker a liquid is, the more viscous it is, it will usually go to the bottom.
@sunscreen318 The charts I look at when layering a cocktail are specific gravity charts, which measure the relative density of the liquid. "The specific gravity or relative density is used to make layered drinks." So, if I used specific gravity wrong, sorry, thought I had it right.
@sunscreen318 I'm sorry 2 say this 2 you, and really I'm not trying 2 sound offensive or get into a pointless discussion, but plz try 2 read at least a little b4 correcting sum1 bcuz u sound kind of bossy tryin' 2 give physichs lessons without knowing that specific gravity is actually a density measuring unit, so it is correct to use this charts as reference to make layered drinks, and yeah generally but NOT necesarilly a more viscous liquid is more dense, oil and water are a good example of this
hey I'm a huge fan and I've watched a ton of episodes and i don't think you have used After Shock Liqueur you should try it!! its amazing. oh and keep the amazing videos coming!
I dont know how many shooters i have layered, but it's not few! However, I have not layered many different shooters, mostly I layer a B52 (because its so damn easy) and sometimes I experiment with other stuff as well.. Plus the friends and family love the layering.. :D
ive layered B52 wich turned out pretty good, alsoi did my own twist on the red white and blue shooter wich turned out great. (swapped peach schnapps for malubu chocunut rum. turned out super sweet and pretty awesome! tough the cocunut layered on top so realy it became a red blue and white shooter ;D)
@everydaydrinkers I found a funny recipe, the "Midget Guinness" Shot: Fill a shot glass 3/4 with Kahlua. Layer Bayleys on top of it until it is full. It looks like a small glass of guiness.
I have yet to make a layered cocktail. But i love the recipe of this one, i was hoping that you would do it the right way after showing the reverse. Keep up the good work, still loving the show.
I mess around with doing stupid layers in work such as fanta on top of coke and making layered coffees and what not. This Fire Extinguisher shooter though, I personally would've put the Irish Cream on the bottom and Fireball Whisky on top. Having it the other way round is like using a fire extinguisher and then setting the place on fire haha
Ive been watching this show for a few years now love the recipes tried many of them you two present. But mainly I wanted to say I love you two for introducing me to Cool Swan. For the longest time Ive been a Baileys only kind of guy and I'm glad I finally decided to go with Cool Swan a month or so ago and haven't looked back since. So keep introducing me to new spirits and other alcohols I can sink my money into lol.
Also, on an unrelated note, Robbie Burns day is the 25th, and Chinese new year is all of this week. It would be cool if you could do some holiday themed cocktails.
Never tried a layer cocktail. Not sure if I have the patience for it haha. BTW congrats on your patriots going to the Super Bowl. Do you think you'll have any cocktails specifically for the big game?
Oh, I did make one of your christmas ones (hot chocolate + Irish cream). Although I dont think I followed your specifics, I just added Bailey's to my hot chocolate.
I'm of age, but I dont think I've ever made any of your recipes. Mostly the only time I drink is when I go out, and unfortunately my friends prefer establishments where fancy cocktails are a foreign concept.
i do a pretty good layer. tried the American flag and thought it was pretty but gross tasting. occasionally i do layered shots and when i do i use an Asian soup spoon instead of a bar spoon. it works pretty good.
The only drink I layer is (my drink of choice) a White Russian. Layer the Kahlua and vodka (Tito's thanks to your suggestion) then pour the milk in to make an awesome swirl and I only bother with that because that is how I like to drink them, unmixed. When drinking with friends it is always whiskey shots and beer so no need for fanciness.
