  • which type of interface are u usin?? whats the mode

  • Comment removed

  • you got a badass bling watch :P

  • really preciated thissss!! thankss... WHat kind of camera did u use??

  • Ok, soo I'd like to know what interface you use to power the monitors? Because I'm looking to buy some rokit's but I don't know what the interface should include, thanks

  • do you need an interface for speakers? "for good bass"

    thanks,

  • krk has headphones tooo KNS-6400, KNS-8400

  • Hi i want to buy a pair of krk 5, so have these ever give you any type of problem ? ever? should i really but then?? thank you!

  • Both speakers work fine and are brand new. Also when I power off the FTP I hear clipping in both speakers, but when I try to play music sound is only heard in whichever speaker is plugged in the second TRS output. Please any help is greatly appreciated, and thank-you for your time to help me.

  • I have recently purchased a FTP and a pair of KRK rokit 5". I am using XLR to TRS cable to hook up my monitors to my interface, but I have a problem. It seems like only one of the TRS outputs on the back of the FTP give me sound. Whenever I plug one monitor into the second TRS output I get sound and vise versa for the other speaker. I can only get sound out of one speaker when there both plugged up.

  • Question:

Can you use the M-audio Fast Track mkII USB (audio interface) on these KRK's?

    Please reply somebody, thanks!

    Nanzoo.

  • Hey, I had a question. I own the M Audio Mobile Pre Usb Pre Amp and how do I get the computer audio to transfer to that?

  • thank you for the video

  • Man that Jack cable from the interface looks like to be stereo, you need a mono Jack to XLR ( actually, you should use the XLR output from the interface) cable to run properly. And how could we hear the quality of the speakers, while listening to the sound processed by the camere's mic, AND through our own speaker/headphone?

  • hi man! nice vid! a question: if i want to connect this to my turntable(im not a dj i just use it for play my old and new vinyls) but i don't have that thing (i don't know its name but says "m-audio" on it) can i control the volume direct from the krk speakers? or i need something?

    thanks man!

  • @estovaono hey,its the M-audio fast track pro, its a sound card/audio interface. It basically filters the sound your hearing which is essential if your DJ'ing, but I know you don't DJ. But anyway if you have your turntables connected to a laptop/computer the only way you will hear sound is from the computers speakers, unless you buy the audio interface, it connects to the computer by USB. Get this then connect your speakers like the KRK's and you have sound. Then of course you programe it all.

  • thank you so much. just got those exact monitors today and was playing shitty sound, but now i Know why. thanks again !!

  • thankyou very much! this helped a lot!

  • what is the name of the cable that connects the monitor to the interface?

  • Haha I did hope that you send me some monies :D nah man but you have like 2 iPhones and the rokits and so on O.o

  • You got too much money?

  • @lameWB No way I want more. Send me some monies :)

  • What does the XLR in the back of the KRK connect to? I'm new to this.

  • @ShavarJackson It connects to the Audio Interface (the device he was adjusting the volume with), and the audio interface connects via USB to the computer.

  • nice monitors. what song is that you were playing near the end?

  • @NathanSynth Its a Wiz Khalifa song off one of his albums the one before the one that just came out.

  • @TeamRob0t do you need a subwoofer for the speakers or not? cause i want to take the same

  • @NathanSynth the song is right here by wiz khalifa. dope ass song.

  • @NathanSynth its off of the deal or no deal album .... thats josh everette on the hook.

  • @NathanSynth Right Here - Wiz Khalifa

  • buy a soldering iron and some solder, then make your own cables easier and cheaper if you have the time :)

  • @singbob LOL how is that easier than just buying them?

  • Does anyone know which kind of interface hes using??

  • @AustinParkerOfficial M Audio Fast Track Pro.

  • wizkhalifa

  • The bass is somehow boomy, dunno if its your room/acoustic/youtube thing, or the speakers it self?

  • Im getting these.

  • i have an m audio fast track culd i still have a good sound using the rca because i really dont wanna buy a whole new m box because the way u have urs hooked up mine cant do that it only haves the red and white thanks

  • @christopher87105 Before I purchased the TRS/XLR cables I used RCA and the sound difference was day and night.

  • so i have to have the audio interface to use the krks with lets say my laptop? i cant connect it some other way

  • same thing if you have a balanced cable?

  • is this m-audi thing required or can I connect the krk rockit monitors directly with the pc? ANd if yes, which optio do I have to connec it?

  • @FabiisonBeats you need an interface to pass to the computer, thats the purpose of the box. unless you find a way to get a card that has the inputs built into the computer.

  • @FabiisonBeats you can connect these straight to a computer using a 3.5 mm headphone socket plug (that all computers have) to rca/phono plug. and they will work fine because there powerd so they have a amplifier inside them

    hope this helps

  • @ITEproductions Does the soun quality get any worse if I use the 3.5mm headphone socket plug to connect the monitors with the computer? And thank you for your answer! :)

  • @FabiisonBeats the sound quality will be worse than a external sound card because it will be coming from you laptop/computers internal sound card but it will not be a noticeable diffrence in sound quality and it will save you a lot of money because you wont have to buy a external sound card. you can probably get these cabled for about £1.50.

  • @ITEproductions so i would definatly reccomend just using a cable and these speakers are absaloutly brilliant whatever you use.

  • @ITEproductions Thank you very much for the info dude it really helped a lot :)

  • @FabiisonBeats its allright anytime :)

  • Do you think these would be too big/loud for a bedroom?

  • Whats the best xlr to 1/4 inch jack cable you can buy for these??

  • which m-audio is this

  • You have near the same setup I 'll have: Mac Mini and an M-Audio Fast Track Pro - and your video is what I was looking for regarding cables and hookups. Thanks!

  • M Audio Interface = Yes :D

    KRK Monitors = Yes :D

    Beat's by Dre = NOOOOOOOOOO D:

  • thanks so much for making this video. i'm thinking about getting my first set of studio monitors and now I know what all I need to do it properly. Cheers.

  • Splurgeyourheadoff no since the RCA connection is unbalanced :(

  • Shit, so if I just have the Maudio fast track (NOT pro), I cant have two outputs like yours? doest that mean that i have to use rca for output?

  • May I ask why your run the Krk 5 on -6db? Gonna have the same set-up! KrK6 + fast track pro. I would like to know if i should run them at -6b or 0db? Thanks and great video

  • why tont you use the balanced trs in/out puts from the soundcard to the monitor?

  • can somebody tell me how i can connect 2 of these monitors to a pioneer ddj-t1? i'm planning to buy these monitors. tnx

  • So you run the rokits to your m audio fast track?

  • @legazymuzik Yea, im thinking about upgrading the KRKs though.

  • @TeamRob0t o ok cool but i mean krks are good tho...well to start up with....u should upgrade to like 6 or 8s....unless ur tlking about switching brands...but hey when or if u do, let me get those...just name your price :)

  • @TeamRob0t why?

  • @blu3leg3nd Why what?

  • just got them THEY SOUND AWESOME!!!! I really like them crystal clear audio..subwoofer maybe be 5" but the bass is awesome!! Amazing monitors I recomend this to everyone!

  • thank you, you helped me alot with my cable problems :D

  • good video, helped a lot

  • I heard M-audio products aren't really high quality, what do you think of this interface?

  • awesome dude. how much did that m-audio interface cost you?

  • @JosephCee 150 i think

  • @TeamRob0t definately more than that thats the fast track pro which is $246 (not retail price), i got my m-audio mobilepre the new versions for $179. Both good interfaces to start out with , but def. should consider upgrade from when ur budget expands

  • can you give me some tips on cheap soudcards that gives a good quality?

  • You apple freak, haha! awesome monitors man..

  • @NealBainz Thank you

  • Thanks brah!

  • @OnlyRawAudio Thank you sir

  • im wanting some of these to just hook up to my laptop/ipod what do i need?

  • THANKS DUDE! I'm been lookin for a simple setup vid like this! All i'm been seeing is this guys with this huge mixer board....so is tha the fast track pro? :):)(BTW: 2 iphones=pro guy)

  • whats the song called? sounds deep and nice

  • @stalepigeon Wiz Khalifa - Right Here ^.^

  • it's called a quarter inch adapter.

  • so how does the second monitor connect to the interface?

  • How much was the audio interface?

  • Damn 2 Macs and iPhones

  • And my sound card is the maudio runs from that to the speakers via xlr to my computer via USB

  • And my sound card is the maudio runs from that to the speakers via xlr to my computer via USB

  • Yea I have multiple iPhones lol I just sold the 3G not too long ago. I have 2 of the first ones a 3GS and an iphone4

  • 2 iPhones?

  • hey man, whats your soundcard? is it me or does ur m-audio soundcard have two XLR inputs right on the front?

  • Comment removed

  • so XLR cables have two sides of those big fat plugs, then you need to get an rca adapter so you can connect them to your interfacE?

  • Ok so if i have only pc available, what interface do i need and exactly what cabels with it to get the best sound out of speakers, consider i might add a sub rp10 later.

  • hey dude does it need phanthom power?

  • hey man whats you;re volume at at the back of your monitors? mines like 2 clicks below 0? how bout you?

  • Man you got some cash. 3 iphones, krk's imac. damn

  • Yeah I can see how you blew out your old speakers now.

  • Crisp highs?

  • a bitch with money

  • can i use this speakers on a m-audio fast track II soundcard and plug it in at the back in the outpouts there is no more chanels for xlr

  • @chonne81 Yeah you can, thats how I have mine set up

  • Im a music producer and i'm looking to buy some studio monitors. I'm wondering, what kinda cables would i need to purchase with the monitors? I got an audio interface.

  • Do you have to use an interface to connect to a computer or can you just connect it to headphone jack for music

  • Sup, my rokits power leds seems to be different in brightness one is more bright than the other one, has anyone experienced this as well? Since is said that the led is connected to the amp can it mean that the amp with the less brighter led is about to fail or drawing less power?

  • nice monitors dude! and them m-audio interfaces are pretty sweet too

  • Nice One ! Gonna Buy them Too :) They got that Hard Knocking Bass ^^ And thats one Thing thats essential for Producing Electro/Dubstep/Hip-Hop

BTW : Whats the Name of the Song @ The End ?

  • @TeamRob0t it's serve for what ??

  • @TeamRob0t nice im defitnetly buying me all this

  • How good are these monitors? Will it be the same if I buy it off of guitarcenter?

  • @LifeTimePro i mean they should sound the same as long as they arent knock offs or anything, and you use the right cables

  • for best quality for recording would u plug ur mic into ur mixer of interface?

  • @Rezin603 for recording with mics you need a preamp. most mixers have a pream on the inputs and some interfaces do. depends on what your recording and how many mics you'll be running at the same time. if your going to be doing drums i suggest getting the m audio fast track ultra 8r. it has 8 preamped inputs midi, s/pdif and lots more.

  • @Rezin603 depends on the specs of the mixer, but i just use these for playback. not an expert on recording.

  • @TeamRob0t Do these plug straight into the back of the Computer Tower? If so, what with, I'm wanting to use them for recording, I'm using Sonar 6 Sequencer.

  • can i run this same setup thru my mixer instead?

  • hey wot interface is tht and how much was it?

  • @kuntie23 its the M-Audio Fast Track Pro they go for about 200.

  • you should get Mogami XLR TO TRS for this monitor! Its Great!!!

  • @bluelitestudio Do you have any info on those, or a video on here?

  • Thanks to your video I'm saving up for these bad boys :D

  • @hiphopeveryday Im glad to hear that. you wont be disappointed just remember to invest in Balanced cables.

  • what song is that

  • @tonyloks213 Wiz Khalifa - Right here feat. Josh Everette

  • They have an awesome sound without a woofer.

I thought the rp5 are to weak for low frequences.....

  • I'm glad I could help you in your choice

  • I just got some RP8 G2s :)

Your video helped me when deciding between KRK and Mackie!

  • lol ok

  • Never mind, figured it out! Wiz Khalifa, right?

Do you produce? Or did you just get those monitors for listening to music?

And when you picked them up at the store, did you get a chance to listen to any other studio monitors within the same price range of the KRK G2 RP5's? I am torn between the monitors you got and the Mackie MP5's.

    Thanks bro.

  • They only have these on display at my local BBY. These are freaking sweet though and I also noticed a lot of professional Producers actually use these same ones either these or 6 inch version. Ive seen them in the background of a lot of producer videos like Timbalands studio has these at most of the stations.

  • @Kensurs And i got these for listening purposes I love the pro audio sound so much better than regular speakers.

  • Nice setup. What song was playing when the video ended?
