i always thought this sucked but i tried it a few minutes before i watched this video and now i think its epic. it looks great and is very simple to use. so far i have used safari, firefox, google chrome and rockmelt and now opera. rockmelt is just like a copy of google chrome and safari is great on a mac but sucks on windows

I tried Opera out back in 2004, and thought it was a nice browser, but didn't keep using it simply because I was used to FF, but I always had it installed. Then when FF kept getting worse and worse, I switched to opera a few months ago, and got a few other people I know to start using it because they were really starting to hate FF as well. So it's always nice to have an alternate browsers when you need it.

And in-fact, Opera is much better than Chrome at rendering. Note: This isn't only my opinion, although, I do agree with it. Go try Opera 10.60, it's better than the older versions of Opera, and newer/older versions of Chrome. And again, this is my opinion, and others agree as well. All browsers work differently for different people. No browser sucks.

IE is the most popular because it goes by default with WinOS, Firefox is more popular than opera because it gets 10x more advertisement. Same goes with Chrome. Overall betterness is utterly subjective, since for IE users IE is "the best" browser, and the same thing with the rest..

The interface has changed so much from Opera 9 to 10. It's MUCH better, especially the Mac version. The UI refinements, the fact that it now looks like a native application, the fact that it's so fast and the fact that it has an ad-blocker by default have made it the default browser for me.

Checked out Opera 10.5 Alpha, too. The interface on that is even better, but it has some bugs. For now I'm gonna stick with 10.10 until a Beta of 10.5 comes out.

I think its a great browser, very fully features, you can do alot more then Firefox, Safari or Chrome.. I mean the unite feature.. But I think firefox is still one of the best considering the amount of addons and plugins it has.. But I really liked the look of Opera

The Opera browser is a 4 out of 10. Such great features yet they have horrific compatibility and rendering issues. And the sad part is, other browsers continue to steal its features and their market share goes way up. It is obvious Opera does not care %100 about this. To me, they have been in the business way too long to be where they are now, in almost dead last. Opera has failed conclusively! A browser should be able to display all web sites correctly. If not, than get the fuck out of here!

Regarding the first question, Chrome (at least its java script engine) is still faster than Opera. But Opera is the way to go for older less powerful computers as Chrome uses much more RAM.

theres no one best or fastest or browser. you have to understand what it is that you do online and then make the choice which works best for you. im sure opera or chrome might load youtube faster but for what i use the internet for firefox works best for me

Opera's pretty much been more efficient than Firefox for a long time. (and I'm not saying that as "omfg firefox sucks") It's always used less ram for me, has always been faster, etc. Firefox still can't pass the Acid3 test last I checked, and Opera has been able to since the Opera 10 beta =P
