  • i can make 36 led light and run it off one 9v battery and last 6 hours sima charges for 3 or 4 hours and the light will only last 30 mins. and my led light cost half as much as the 36 led sima

  • Love your little Sima 20IR light. Have 8. My "ONLY" complaint is with the battery life "It Sucks"

  • Which would be best for going into the woods, the sl-20lx or the sl-20ir? Please respond

  • Dont Stair Directly At It It Will Temporarely Blind You Trust Me LOL!!!!

  • will this work with my panasonic lumix dmc fz28k , it has color tempeture feature and it settable to 1000k am i good or do i really need a night mode camera ,? oh and my camera has the exposure ev up to number 2+

  • @vwlover94 According to Sima, to use the IR light, the camera used must have night mode capability.

  • How well will the white 36 LED light, light up a completely dark room?

  • I'm thinking about buying the first one. How long does it last before the bulbs start burning out? Or does the battery fuel them so they never do?

  • About 50,000 hours.

  • Battery last an hour maybe longer sometimes

  • @imrecock i wish i have one and it only last 30 mins. but takes for ever to charge

  • Thanks for posting. I bought the older model light (SL-10L) when they first came out. I was very disappointed. The light pattern is very small & is not distributed evenly. It looks like Sima went back to the drawing board & fine tuned the concept. It's too bad they didn't use batteries with more capacity & include a filter to balance to 3200K.

  • The IR night vision light will work with any camera that features a 'night shot' mode. As far as I know, the Zi6 does not feature a 'night shot' mode - so it will not work with the Zi6. However, the standard light includes a mount that attaches to any camera with a standard tripod mount - it's bright and rechargeable. If the Zi6 has a tripod mount the standard light would be a nice addition for indoors and low-light situations.

  • will this work with a kodak zi6 camcorder?
