  • another great painting by Garry!

  • Cool video! I'm going to add you to my favorites. I'm a Bob Ross instructor on the north central Gulf Coast...LOVE Eastern Florida and can't wait to go back someday!

  • Looks like fun! I remember 100 years ago painting outside at the Banff School of Fine Arts. I'd be busy watching all the wildlife and forget what I was painting! LOL

  • There were a number of monents there when I just had to stop painting and watch the graceful fight of an egrit or heron, which gave me the confidence to paint one in my plein air painting... we even saw a few gators there. a beautiful day, nice place to paint! THANKS FOR WATCHING!

  • Nice one Gary!...love the nature soundtrack backround...you have some really good painters in your group!! 5 stars*****

  • Thanks. I like your "Beached Whaler" videos... REALLY GREAT things there!

This was a great day to paint, and with such a fine group of artists and such an abundance of wildlife. Thanks for watching

  • Gary you're lucky this is a wonderful day with many other peoples with arts love in a beatyful natural ambient... but this is a contest ?? anyway i vote you with five stars ;)

  • Yes, it was a wonderful day with a lot of great painters to paint with. Not a contest, just us getting together on the same weekend as the national plein air paintout! We missed David, who arranged the paintout and could not be there.

  • Looking stunning. How did you get that flying bird in? I mean for a plein air painting it is pretty unusual to put in 'moving objects' isn't it?

Taping is sure a neat trick. Any special tape so I don't tear of the gesso?

  • Hi, There were so many egrits, herons and woodstorks there that it was not hard to transpose them into the scene, although I don't think the woodstork in my painting is all that great. On the tape, I like the 3M blue professional tape, however, on canvas it will allow seepage under it if the color is watery, but you can reapply gesso to remove those areas. Thanks for watching.

  • You and your clients did a super special job with your paintings. In hq, they take my breath away.

  • Thanks Buck, FCPAP is a great association to paint with... but the great scenery there made it easy!

Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment.
