You have a nice voice, but you need to dig into the emotion of performing and look at acting as not so much..pantomiming as...more-so just being natural? Go after body movement and motion that you would naturally do while speaking. (I mean..don't put your arm over your eyes when you sing "tell the spotlight-man 'turn off my light' " That's way too staged and wooden. )
@1musicalnote thnku for ur comment, means alot and yeh i agree this was back when i used to learn off a recording off youtube an make up timings and stuff u knw but thnku x
Well if I was a broadway producer I would heavily consider signing you, as long as you could act and dance. But you were far better than Aaron Trevit's understudy in Catch Me If You Can. I saw the show on Broadway and you do very well with that song, you should definitly consider broadway, you have a gift that most people do not have.
@benjarules Lol, somehow I listened to it and thought the note was just slightly pinched but i listened 22 more times and now I don't know why i ever thought that it was pinched....its completely open.
@EliseWhatever lol yes im sorry for the lyrics had mind blank on the second verse adn had to improv lol im currently studying at the drama arts ed in london :) glad u enjoyed it ! x
@EliseWhatever Yes, that last note comes VERY close to Aaron's. Only difference is the cut of, Ben ( guess thats his name) falls off the note and Aaron carries the note to the end and cuts off. I can be in the other room and come running to my computer just to hear that last note!
@circuitmedic I swear, when i saw the show, Aaron was so flat on that last note. On the cast album sure, he's perfect, but this is live, and thats why i think this is pretty darn amazing :) (not that aaron isnt amazing, love him!!)
@EliseWhatever WHAT?????????????? You CANT mess that note up!!!! That would be like the lift in Wicked failing to rise....I presume...I have never seen CMIYC....well, though disappointing, id rather hear a flat live note than lip sync...thats why we love theatre. If u see enough of it, you will eventually hear a bad note, they are human. Which now makes me wonder, Celine Dion in vegas has a pitch perfect show...hm...suspicious I say
@circuitmedic Haha, well, eden espinosa is flat like half the time and yet she's one of my favorite elphie's because she's so awesome when she's on-key (is that a word..?). And he recovered pretty well once the vibrato kicked in, so it was not thát bad. And mt performers are most amazing live, thats why i love it so much! And Celine Dion is pretty much amazing, so i'd believe that.
It's obvious that you can sing, and nailed the Bb at the end. just was a bit disappointed with the lyrics all over the place because although it does show off your voice the song is a story and got lost when it didnt make sense at all. Great effort though!
hah yeah completely understandable, you should record it again like your other vids, would be great :). would there be any chance of being sent your instrumental?, would help heaps! @benjarules
@MrSufa yeh i wouldlike to just have moved away from home now to study musical theatre soo dont have the facility's to record it lol but if u message me with ur email i shall see what i can do :)

This is incredible! The only thing I'd be concerned about is the melody because your phrasing is a bit choppy. I would hire you in a SECOND though.
