Yeah, the voice acting just implodes when you play on the Kurzick side.... That Zu Heltzer woman, the henchman one...... ON MY GOD. THAT is bad voice acting. Anyway, I could never get into the story of Factions, and I think THIS is part of the reason.

Pretty much everyone besides Suun (the Oracle of the Mists) has a sort of hammy, half-assed "kung-fu" style to their performances. Intentional? Probably, but it seriously detracts from the story.
@SteelhawkGW Yea kinda... Shiro Tagachi was pretty cool but he seemed like a cliched villian, and the cutscenes with him were lame, and his voice actor didn't really play him that well in my opinion. Such a waste of a cool antagonist.
when I saw this while playing the man who stabs the guard in the back hasn't got a wooden staff in the first scene 0:33 but later in 0:43 he has one. but it occured only from time to time

@EuReKaSeVeNf4N I'd say it's very effective. If you have a Focus and a Sword/Axe/Spear with a ""I Have the Power!" inscription, then you have a total of +17 energy. Further upgrades on the Caster weapon allows you to either have +30 HP or 20% boost in enchantment duration. Generally I prefer +30 HP, but it's a personal choice. A good example of a Caster weapon would be the Totem Axe, or Rajazan's Fervor.
@GeeKNoLife I always liked the concept of an Elementalist or Mesmer using a weapon other than a wand or staff. I might try it out. Looks cool. Thanks!

And, um. Yeah. Cantha is very pretty, but tends to err on the side of horribad with, y'know. Plot. And voice acting. And ability to navigate the darned map. And ability to play with other players (they cut the player population in half for the last half of it by splitting everyone up, which means there's been no one around since 2007).
@Altaranalt More or less. I chose this one because it's especially bad. While I love Guild Wars, cutscenes have never been it's strong side. At best they have been 'good', but never quite as epic as they deserve to be, especially with quality voice acting. Hopefully Guild Wars 2 will change that!
@Altaranalt They're about equal quality with WoW's cutscenes, and seeing as how WoW only added cutscenes in Cataclysm, their newest expansion, that's saying something about WoW.

I could never stand Master Togo. His voice screamed "I'm a white dude pretending to be a sensei."
Danika was really, really annoying too. I get that her character was supposed to be spoiled brat, but man, it went too far...
