  • If it helps, I'm currently working on GuitarJamTracks(.)com

I'm gathering a collection of free guitar backing tracks created by different people and organizing them by key, tempo, suggested scales. I would love to get any feedback I can get so I can make the site more useful.

  • Good lesson indeed very simple

  • Cool. This is great.

  • I wish it was as easy as this guy makes it out to be

  • This really helped me get a feel for lead. I have developed fairly smooth finger work across the board, and have several scales memorized -- but just being able to transition to this minor pentatonic scale really gives alot of options. I've been just randomly try to 'feel' the solo as songs play -- and I actually hit a few proper licks now without the 2-3 right notes, then 1-2 off, back 2-3 on and so forth. I have a long way to go, but I think learning by ear is best for myself. Thanks

  • rock is dead? that's the dumbest thing i've heard all day. rock is definitely making a huge comeback. that rap bullshit is what's dead

  • I don't think it means that rock is not popular.

  • blues has so much more soul rthan any other type of music... too bad its dead and so is rock and roll

  • lol i laughed when he said short licks and a vibrato at 3:35 lol anyone else have a mind like mine ? lol

  • omg he makes this look so easy...i play metal and i hav no idea how to use scales to make my own riffs...anyone hav a vid to show me?

  • @ShamanS08 u still use scales 2 make metal riffs:P its just a differnet set of scales

  • he has lik a classicll vibrato lol

  • you can have hours of fun with this scale, kids

  • Man you need to water down the whole "basic introduction" thing lol

  • Does anyone know how to get a Line6 spider amp to sound like that? Mine only does shred.

  • @Ventalei

well kick in crunsh with a little gain ... some bass abd 3/4 trebble and a bit before 1/2 mid ... that should do it

  • KILLER BLUES DUDE!!

  • what if you come across this weird chord and want to construct a scale from it, to solo or w/e, how do you do that??

  • You'll either have to arpegiate the chord or find which mode (usualy from the major scale sequence) works for it. If you dont understand these concepts, go look up vinnie moore and joe satriani for good lessons on what modes are and how they work, and for learning about arpeggios check out marty friedman lessons. You'll be a better player for it mate. Rock on! \m/_

  • @ialvarez357 u need 2 wriet down the notes in the chords and work frm that

  • i'm just starting out with guitar but this is very helpful. i just have some trouble following his fingers but that's probably common for a novice like me.
