Hey brother, with all respect, you should to put better music on board. Every time when you start the engine, a very lame & bored music begins to play. This isn´t a bad comment, this is only a suggest that I give you. ...Or so much better: DON´t play music, just let us to enjoy the sound of the engine, this makes us to dream on board. Take care & please take my advice.

What's wrong with Hyundai??bad??? why???....I've been a Hyundai owner for many years and currently a 2008 Elantra owner and i am extremely very happy with my Hyundai,don't get me wrong but you wrote that like if having a hyundai is bad or because this Genesis is nice "but " is a Hyundai were bad??why?they are doing excellent job,very good quality,very reliable,soft ride,quiet,powerful,fuel efficient,very well equipped vehicles,safe ,..so what's wrong????tell me.

It's a Hyundai... and unfortunantely I just can't get over the older ones reliability records. Maybe time will prove that they are better cars, but I test drove a Tiburon a couple of years ago and it was nothing special to me. My Grandma had one about 7 years ago and it was terrible. For the money I'd rather have a Honda or Toyota. That's just my opinion.

Well ,you said it....7 years ago...is not the case of Hyundai now... don't get me wrong ok,it's personal preference ,obviously i respect that,and i respect your point of view,Honda and Toyota ,great brands with impecable record making good ,reliable cars,i had both brands before,but now Hyundai changed my mentality when i had to chose Civic or Elantra,Elantra won and i bought it very happy .The olders Hyundais are the olders ,old management and company mentality against today's Hyundai Motors.

I am also a proud Hyundai owner! I bought a Tiburon brand new in 2005 and still love it. A few months back I took the Genesis for a test drive and I love it even more! Hyundai are getting better and better for reliable cars.

Funny thing is people always saying Toyota is the reliable car and right now they have a massive recall for 2010!

lol, everybody says its tacky, idk what you mean by that, I don't care much for it either. BUT, if you mean tacky cuz it looks cheap, thats only because most of us haven't seen REAL aluminium interiors in a while, supposed ly it is real metal which is nice, but I agree, it looks too stark and mechanical in an otherwise smooth and ergonomic interior. That wouldn't deter me from buying one though.

I have to say very good looking car. Not to keen on the bump in the window or the interior dashboard design, but the exterior is excellent.

Is this the base 3.8? Or is this is Grand Touring? I haven't seen many people talk about the base 3.8. Just wondering because I'm gonna be getting that. Haven't heard much about it either.

Well i have the canadian version MY 2009,GL,2.0 ,138 hp,CVVT,16 valve,automatic with overdrive and the car performs excellent..i have no complains at all,and on top of that is extremely fuel efficient,really good on gas.

Well the current Elantra generation 2007 to the present under the EPA,they classified the vehicle as a mid-size not a compact such as the current Civic and Corolla 2010,since the Elantra has bigger interior room than those ones,also take a look on the J.D.Power and associates for 2009:Highest Ranked Compact Car in Initial Quality in the U.S.

I checked out JD Power & Associates and they have the Coupe 3/5 for predicted reliability. But it has pretty good MPG.

are those paddle shifts behind the steering wheel? are those used for manual transmission, and do u have to push a clutch or nething when u use them?

didn't u see the automatic gear??? what are you talking about......paddle shifters will work when he puts the gear into semi-auto mode..or they may just work in regular "d" mode
