please help me since you are making this video very awsome specially for dummies like me. i actually want to update my Ni but after following all your steps it keeps on saying to me these verifying current system

assert failed: apply-patch-check (MTD:boot:21201248 etc.....

E:error in /sdcard/update.zip (status 7) installation aborted!!!!

Please help me as well as i want to put custom ROM on my phone but ive tried all the steps in xda but i never saw the ZIP on recovery.please also make a video!

@justkillen07 If your using Mac it might unzip the file. Use Google Chrome to download it and it should give you a zip file. Save the Zip file on the SD card. Do not put it in any folder. Save it on the main directory. It should work.

There is some news from the Android Dev twitter that the build that is going around i believe including this build i did guide on is a test build. Not all the functions and features are working.

"Android 2.2 is being rolled out to a very limited test group. We expect a final build to be available for OTA updates shortly, stay tuned!"

@myworldphonecom Thanks for the info.. I did some research and found the method you described. But I did not want to go that route. So I found modacos version of froyo for rooted nexus's. Which does not require going back to stock os and recovery image! Yep that's right, I simply flashed modacos customized froyo right to my phone like any other customized rom. Heres the link for those interested.

@woode29 well 1st you need to Flash your phone back to Stock ROM. There is tons of links out there for the stock ROM. After you flash your stock rom. Then follow this video instructions.
