  • There are ampico pieces converted to midi, you can find on internet, a really great job... I love watching this midis on "synthesia"!

    Great video! Thanks!

  • Thank You!

  • Simply magnificent in every way! This was the first music I heard today. I sat and watched with my first cup of coffee and from the first arpeggio I had goosebumps and watery eyes. i get stuck on the ampico from time to time and this video has rekindled an old romance. The music of course is staggeringly beautiful and watching the ampico in proper working order always leaves me with a latent sense of affection for the curious human ideals which sometimes result in such a machine. Thanks.

  • @regent260 Thank you for the beautiful comment. When a restoration effort garners this kind of response, it is most rewarding. The piano is now in a new home, the gift of a very generous father who has given like pianos to all his children. (Mason & Hamlin, Ampico B pianos)
