What I find a really cool prospect is having mass PvP, you get battles with the same setup as a 1v1 but with 20+ players. A commander each side and a base, hold down control points to gain rescources, spend them on extra defenses/weapons/upgrades and stuff.

Plus this new (stupid) blizzard xpac will still need several patches, bugfixes, updates, etc.. This is what world of warcraft was SUPPOSED to be but they scrapped the world of starcraft idea and went with the medieval feel from Warcraft. I read about this game like a year after broodwar came out and before WoW did so i was pumped to play then i find out they scrapped it and used the warcraft platform instead of starcraft for their new style game. I don't think that starcraft universe woulda been as big as WoW but i think it is a perfect time for now that WoW is on its down turn.

Short of some employees liking it, Blizzard as a company has nothing to do with SCU or its development. And finally.. why do I do this? Mainly because I want to play it.. lol. @CreationArtist25 Since the merge with Activision Blizzard has completly changed, its all about the money now, they dont care about their oldest customers, but how many new players they can get, thats why wow has became shit after being nerfed down so that 3 year olds can play it. They even copyrighted barcraft under a reason which is completly absurd, and they even try to kill their own game (Starcraft: Broodwar) so that they had more customers for SC2. People change, business change.

Honestly, I think it would be unwise of Blizzard to help the SCU devs in any way shape or form. Doing so would harm the modding community greatly because it would discourage other mappers from even trying because they'd know it would be virtually impossible to compete with a Blizzard-assisted mod. If Blizzard had done the same thing in WC3, and put lots of money into the first halfway decent mod they saw, there might not have ever been DotA, and there wouldn't be nearly as much mapping going on.
