  • dont listen to her all u do is drag the dog if it still doesnt walk kick it if it still doesnt walk kick it harder if it doesnt walk after tht give the c**t away !!!!!!!!!

  • @hudson13h kick it? i prefer clipping the ears or cutting tail off. if that doent work hit it on the head with a baseball bat, then it`ll be happy to be dragged!

  • @hudson13h Okay why did you even comment? Obviously you're a stupid fuck who should not EVER have a dog.

  • When I first put my puppy on the leash she freaked out she was like three months old now she is six months old and she doesn't care anymore she just needs to learn how to not all of a sudden jump in front of me lol

  • 240 we meet again -_-

  • Our Belgian Shepherd Puppy is SO stubborn

  • my puppy looks like a rodeo horse on a lead.

  • 1:34 - 1:41 the puppy is watching ur bag (inside fo the bag is DOG TREATS!!!) while WALKING!!! ^_^

  • That's not a puppy!!!

  • my little 7 week old Labrador puppy wont walk on a leash she tugs the opposite way

  • well i tryed that with my puppy and guess wat lol he was the one walking me not me walking him i followed him every where he go lol

  • my puppy wont stop chewing on the leash =(

  • Thats NOT how my dog did when i did it the first time! My dog spread his two front legs a good distance and stood still! I finally got him to move towards me. I wanted some tips but all these videos have already trained dogs. Luckily I got him trained in time to go on family vacation with us! It took me just a few days to train him. I just hate leaving him with a sitter!

  • My new baby's name is Mojo as well! Y'all are so critical... just move on.

  • lol reacharound

  • If you give a treat to the dog for biting on the leash, wouldnt it teach the dog that chewing on the leash will give them a treat...?

  • my puppy pulls me >:( makes me mad at Betty the German shepherd ( 4 month old)

  • Its just like those losing weight commercials the people that are working out were buff before the product! ugh he was trained before the video -_- DAMN YOU!

  • "How to train an already trained puppy"...that should be the title...lol

  • can't make my puppy to stop chewing on the leash no mather what i give him

  • Why do all expertvillage videos have the best quality? Like, really. I really want the types of cameras they have.

  • positive reenforcement is for perwinkles.

  • Why dont they try it on a pitbull pup that has never been on a leash before.... I just rescued one from my local shelter and she's only about 2-3 months old and has NEVER been on one so when I clip the leash on her all she does is sit with her head down and wont budge... Im not going to drag her around of course.... Any suggestions?

  • this vidio helped allot with my puppy cause before he allways used to just sit down or chew on the leash but now thanks to ur vidio he doesnt do it as much anymore

  • My dog he throws a fit and lay on the ground and bite

  • WTF my puppy wont stop tugging it! help!

  • my dog always fuckin lays down when i take him on a leash or put on his collar

  • Continued-- Simply pull the leash out of your dogs mouth, don't do it too fast or hard! Your dog could hurt his teeth, and lose trust! when your dog starts to bark at something firmly say ''No'' and walk 5 feet away from whatever it may be barking at. Never go out with a dog without a leash, your dog could chase a squirrel get into trouble or hit by a car! After the 1st run, your dog will get better and better, so you will feed him treats, stop feeding him treats after a while though! c:

  • My strategy? First of all, use a retractable leash; This way your dog can roam- but you can limit it however you want, too stop your dog from getting into trouble. If your dog is very young let him smell and commonly put the leash on your dog. When you first put him on the leash- don't expect much. Your dog should be getting into some trouble or trying to lead you! To stop your dog from leading or trouble retract the leash to stop your dog! If your dog chews on the leash- On next commet---->>>>>

  • i like to see her with a pup not a 5 year old dog come on women

  • you can't pull it out of the oitbull's mouth like that!!My pitbull puppy chews on it and she's pretty strong.I wish i could get her more used to her leash!

  • She ain't do shit

  • Barto, good. :P

  • Aw cute dog! What type of breed is that?

  • @iSongs101 i meant to click thumbs up on your xcomment.. sowee x.x

  • @iSongs101 welsh corgi

  • THATS NOT A PUPPY ITS A SMALL DOG THAT ALREADY KNOWS> HOW STUPID DO YOU THINK WE ARE!?! IT DIDNT WORK DUMB ASS

  • my german sheperd puppy just jumps and tries to bite me when i try to walk her

  • My doberman wont move at all and he trys to bite the leash. anyone wanna help me out?

  • So I just got a puppy todai and I need help. She's used to me now. She resists on the leash and she just lays down when I tug a little for her to come. And when I take her outside she won't pee. She just lays down. I don't want her to have an accident. My parents would flip. PLESASEEEE Help

  • I tried my 4 month old puppy with the lead walking around the room and she went CRAZY and was crying, now when she see's the lead she hides but i left it in the room and she started sniffing and chewing it, then i tried putting the handle of the lead over her back so if she ran it would fall off and wouldnt scare her, she saw it on her back and walked away a bit frightened. When in the garden she is fast and if she ran away i would not catch up with her, what do you suggest that i should do?

  • That puppy is trained and its not even that young. probably 5 months old <_<\

wish they would show a dog that has not been leashed before.

  • i dont have a dog. i have an asian. his name is elliot kwong. can you teach me how to put a leash on him so he stops scootering away. and hurting him self jumping over hoses.

  • @TeamAlwayzHonest Maybe he isnt a homosexual like you. Ever thought of that?

  • lol i love seeing those dogs that cary there own leash on walks instead of the owner xD those dogs are kewl d:

  • Glad that I'm not the only thinking that dog has done this before. I want a video that shows the first time the leash/harness is put on a puppy and walking done outside with all the distractions not in a nice quite room.

  • "Don't let them chew it up" she says. Are you kidding? Please make a video showing HOW to not let them chew on it. Giving my dog food as a lure to stop her from going after the leash seems to reward her for chewing the darn thing. And now she does it even more. She's starting to get that the leash equals going outside, but that's about as much success as I've had. The pulling, biting and thinking of it as a toy with benefits (i.e. the treats), has not stopped at all.

  • @sugabonbon16

I'm not an expert or anything but I've been having a lot of luck with my boxer puppy. I got a light weight chain leash so if he chews it, it won't damage it (plus he doesn't like the chain links so he doesn't chew it much). I did let him run around the house with it on at first before taking him outside with it on. I don't give him food as a lure. If he starts chewing on it, I tell him no in a stern voice. That seems enough to distract him from it and then I give him a toy.

  • @adrianpsych

Actually, now that she's a little older (about 5 months), I switched to a chain leash too. When I first posted this, she was too small and a chain leash was just too heavy for her. But like you mentioned with yours, she doesn't really like to chew on the chain leash. She'll walk around with the other end in her mouth, but no more chewing. That means success for both of us :)

  • My Shih poo puppy named Piper hates her leash but she likes string and rope such as shoe laces, pants strings, leash's etc. I don't know how to get her to stop biting her leash, she doesn't want to listen, please help?

  • if your puppy lays down in the middle of a walk.. make sure u hae treats with you.. hold it in front of the dog and itll get up and walk with.. when its walking next too you correctly . treeat him. and continue (:

  • why does my 2 monthold rotti just lay down in the middle of a walk. its annoying

  • @MultiDukeman - my 2 month old rotti/dobie did the same thing, found out later that he did not want to walk, he wanted to RUN. try jogging and see what happens, worked for me.

  • evry1 watch the dog whisperer thats how you will learn alot of things

  • Great video! Lot's of useful information. This is suck an important stage in a dogs life!

  • cute dog

  • THIS ACTUALY WORKS,THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!

  • thats a great video to teach leash training

  • PLS HELP ME my dog wont walk she just stays in one spot and i hate pullin her cause im chocking her she is a labrador n she just wont walk

  • My puppy is about 18 months old, buck whenever i try to put her on the leash she bucks and lays down, like she's frightened any ideas why she does this or how i can stop it ?

  • @CarolineJanee Correction 6 months* :L

  • completely useless.

    that dog is already trained.

  • because chihuahua's there climate is warm weather so in winter or fall do i take them on walks ?

  • @LovelyJessica12198

    i had the same question!

im gettin a chiweenie, and i dont know if i should take her on walks in winter.

2nd question: for training the puppy to walk on a leash when you actually walk them, do you walk the same route every time or do you take different ones for each walk?

  • yes

  • cute puppie

  • Man why the hell do they ALWAYS use dogs that are already used to the lead. yu can just tell this dog is used to it. WHATS the point in showing us if your not going you use the right dog

  • I agree with you on that. This wasn't really any use to me. I want to see WHAT she does and HOW she does it with a puppy that has never walked on a leash before, that's what will help me.

  • @MillieTiasMummy ur puppy isnt used to the leash aka hes to dumb for this video

  • @Deuce1566 i let my dog run around with it for a 3 hours and he still doesnt do it soo shut up

  • @MillieTiasMummy To show you what you're supposed to be looking for twatsicle. Go watch the dog whisperer if you can't get it right, if you do everything this woman is saying then you will have no problems with your puppy.

  • @MillieTiasMummy Agreed! I want to see how they do it from the start with a 9 week old puppy.. this a grown dog! grr

  • my 2 month chitzu just laidon the floor and dont want to walk ;( im going crazy

  • @monicaThediva

Mine just sits and doesn't budge lol

  • You could lure the puppy with a treat and try to walk around with the treat in your hand! That works!

  • same here, but mine pulls the lead aswell

  • My 10month chihuahua that I rescued doesn't even come to me when I tell her too, she doesn't know what anything is!!! She is just getting to know OUTDOORS, I got her to use the bathroom outside 3 times in one day, im so proud of her but since she was rescued its gonan take a while for her to come around...hopefully by spring I'll have her walkin on a leash!!!

  • thats not a puppy

  • lol!!!!!!!

  • I have a 10 week old beagle who goes crazzy when i try to put the leash on him he bites the leash and pulls on it and i can't keep his attention much becuase hes always sniffing EVERYTHING I have tot him to sit and he knows his name thats about it and even then id say he has "selective hearing" :I

  • try putting the leash on and just letting him get used to it by letting him drag it around the house on his own terms

  • lol, beagles really bite and sniiff a lot, but theyre so cute

  • Dogs only do things they like.. if you distract him with treats and make the experience fun,he won't mind... just like everything else... i trained my puppy to jump in shopping bags.. they don't know any better and they trust you to teach them it is okay

  • how old should my puppy be when teaching this ? Thank you for sharing :)

  • any age when he can go outside, usually better to teach him/her earlier. (I know your comment is a month old btw)

  • um try that on an untrained puppy please..

  • man up

  • that dog anit no puppy :S

  • This video doesnt work for me in any browser but part 2 does

  • ghjklhthgfrgv

  • my dog always pulls the leash backwards and resists without moviing his legs wen i move forward

    please help me any one

  • mine to plz snd me what ever advice some 1 gave plz n thnkz :)

  • don't pull when you are teaching the dog to walk with a leash. It might seem like it is the most appropriate thing to do, but it will actually cause the dog to dig in his heels. This will be viewed by the dog as aggressive behavior on your part. You will end up getting into a tug of war with the dog and he will not budge one inch. You should allow the dog to walk without any tension on the leash at all. other than that, praise him so he can enjoy his walking expirience. I hope this helps you!:)

  • It helped somewhat, but how do you get his feet to move so that the walking can begin. That's my problem. If I pull he sits down, if I stop pulling he just stands there, when I say come on in a cheerful way he still just stands there. He is 9 weeks old. I can't even get him to come to me. I have to go get him. Although, I did just get him yesterday. He is a AKC Golden Retriever, one of the smartest dogs out there. Will this change soon?

  • @oandbrina Get him used to the idea of his name first and try to teach him to come when you call it. Give him treats to re-enforce his name and also to associate being good with getting a treat. Then try calling him while walking. He's only new so don't worry if he is a little unresponsive at first he just needs to get used to everything. Hope that helps xx

  • thats what my dog does, or he hides behind a chair or table and just doesnt move..we dont know what else to do to make him walk

  • when he hides behind something move the chair or table pull the chair or table abit away from him

  • @rakisaki39 i ahve the same problem. i wish i knew

  • @rakisaki39 i know!!!! my puppy does the same thing! Then, it becomes more like dragging than actually walking the dog lol

  • @rakisaki39 i had the same problem till today (i have a 8-week old siberian husky).. solution i found was to walk your dog with another dog that's already trained to walk on a lead.. maybe one that belongs to a friend, or u could ask a stranger like me :P after a bit, your dog will get used to it

  • @rakisaki39 YOUR NOT THE ONLY ONE

  • @rakisaki39 mine too

  • @rakisaki39 Try gettting a harness they work better than a collar

and attach your leash on that, the harness gives you more controll

and while your teaching your dog you wont be chocking him.

then whenever hes pulling you for walks turn the other way and start

walking in a different direction, just keep doing that until he gets the idea

then when he does reward him.it might take some time but its worth it

(and sorry i know its a little late) Hahaa

  • @rakisaki39 go to a trainer

  • @rakisaki39 get cesar milan!

  • @rakisaki39 Try dropping the leash walking to the other side of the room and calling them with a treat letting them drag the leash behind them. Then try to hold the leash loosely and distract them with a treat and walk around a bit with them. If your finding it really hard take the leash off but leave the collar on for a couple days so your puppy gets used to something around his/her neck. (Make sure the collar isn't too tight!) Hope I helped :)

  • my dog doesnt even fit a collar hes so small! hes a toy pomeranian so i had to buy him a harness!! hehe

  • Mine too, I eventually got him a kitten collar and it works perfect

  • i just got a malamute/wolf she is seven weeks old.....how do i make her poop in a certain place?

  • grab the poop whit something and then put it in the place u want your dog poop, u can make it smell so she will recognize what it i,s and where to poop

  • my eight month old golden doodle will only walk a foot off the property and walk any more, can anyone help me?

  • my dog is scared of it,, i end up dragging him,,, and hes just scared of it. can anyone help me please,, i need to get my 5 month old chihuahua leash trained in 2 months for vacation

  • my dog is a ball of energy untill i put the leash on n try to walk her...i dont kno wat to do!!!!!

  • Okay soo None of these Tutorials are helping at all not even the chewing tutorial... My dog is still disobeying like a bitch cause it is

  • I know what you mean! my dog is very disobeying also This is dog is already train so it makes no sense

  • No help.. My dog starts chewing the rope

  • My dog wont walk even if i put a leech on her collar even if i pull she wont walk oso she juz like so blur

  • when i would walk my pup and he would grab the leash i would just call his name, distract him, be like "whats that?!" and praise when he dropped but no treat. also just be like "ahh NO" and when he dropped then be like "good boy!!!" and just get happier and keep walking. it worked

  • my puppy is a shorkie, (shih-tzu cross yorkie) and she just digs her heels into the ground and doesn't walk! it really frusterates me cuz i need to teach her!!

    HELP!

  • if she doesnt want to walk at all when shes on the leash then there are several things you can do... if shes really stubborn and wont move at all, use treats to get her moving. if this doesnt work, try lifting up the back legs and pushing her slightly to move the front legs rewarding her when she moves. eventually she'll realize that walking means food

  • hmm, i might try that the next time i take her for a nice walk....

  • she can walk now she can do it with no treats!its awesome!

  • i agree with serinitsa. also, if its the leash she seems to hate, then try just getting her to follow you around a closed in yard by calling her and giving her treats, then she will learn to walk around with you. also try just leaving the leash on her, without you holding it, when she is inside or outside so she gets used to it. then use a long leash and keep it loose and get her to follow you around some more with treats

  • i do have s shih-tzu as well and im having the same problems nothing seem 2 work 4 her

  • that puppy got a nice ass

    aha

    so cute

  • lolz id tap dat :P

  • Our Huksy Puppy if she bite the leash ,I will just say "NO" and try drag the leash away from the mouth then she will stop and start walking....then I will praised her and said good girl...

  • my shih tzu puppy can walk on a leash at home after a really long time of waiting but she still does bite the leash. I've tried bring her out a couple of times, she just sits there and doesn't move even after trying to encourage her with a couple of treats. what can i do?

  • my 3month old jack russell cant walk on a leash and this doesnt help cuz that dog already knows how to walk on a lead. he just stands there even wth treats

  • My puppy hates the leash and he pulls back a lot...what else can be done?

  • welll........... if he pulls yank him back, keep on doing that until he stops, also teach him to heal. Just say heal when you pull back, evenchely he will learn. i hope this helped. (im only 10 so im not sure it worked 4 mee)

  • Pembroke. He looks like my dog, Ein

  • is that a pembroke welsh corgi or a cardigan

  • i'm really eager to take my puppy for walks but its embarassing the was that she bites at it and then has a spaz attack...its kinda like she just wants to get dragged on the asphalt 8-(

  • well JUST JERK OFF!!!!!!

  • ugh my little brother puppy does that

she'll lock her back legs and will not walk!

her sisters learned in one day but she just doesnt even want to try!

  • our dog walks on his leash just fine when he isn't distracted, but he always wants to play on the grass. He goes crazy for it and it's hard to control him. Any suggestions?

  • is barto like a new puppy that you got, or is it like already trained? cause i really need to know! PLEASE SOMEONE COMMENT BACK!

  • can somebody help me, my puppy's only interest is to chew on the leash. I can even walk her properly.

  • Dogs are social animals and should not need treats to motivate them.

    Praise is best.

All dogs are related to wolves, as you know, and wolf alphas didn't use treats to get their pack to do what they had to do.

  • nice advice

  • don't EVER pull

  • I think your right grown up Barto must already know all about the lead and walkies... my puppy just laid flat like a rag doll and refused to look at the dam lead, so much for introducing it.

  • barto looks like grown up corgi.

  • yeah thats what i thought.

  • He is.

If you watch the other videos, he already knows how to perform all of the commands.

This dog is a trained adult.

  • najs

  • i like how you use a dog thats untrained and show the progress... to many people show leash training with a completely trained dog.

  • ok that helped a lot but what if my dog lays down and refuses to get up? i'm afraid i'll hurt her if i pull.

  • My guess would be to lure her with a treat or a favorite food, to leave off of the ground and follow the food.

  • howtotrainyour dog toget hem
