Any .hack fan worth a damn hates this show with a passion. It abandons pretty much everything that made .hack so interesting in the first place - the mythology, the discussions of electronic identity, the introspection, etc. Even Yuki Kajiura's soulful, otherworldly music's been replaced with this completely out of place j-pop. I like it, but it doesn't fit the series.

And I liked the LottB manga. It didn't really jive well with the franchise either, but it was ok. But the anime is just bad.

Okay, I'm gonna say something that might sound mean, but I'm not trying to be mean when I say they messed up the colors on a LOT of the characters in just the opening. Hotaru has no orange on her hat. Her main theme is light shades of green. Kamui has two different colored eyes. Balmung's helper (Forgot name) has brown hair not blonde. I'm a little sad they had to change all of that... :(

Yep they are irl twins and Shugo has a slight crush on Rena's character not Rena herself and that's because Rena's character is a chibi version of BlackRose a hero from the original .Hack games. the anime talks about what happened 4 years after the original .hack games(which I don't have T-T) but I do have the .Hack G.U. vol. 2 game(I'm hooked)

This was a good .hack// series - in fact to be honest...I would rank it above .hack//SIGN - and I know that sounds ridiculous. But again this is my opinion.

The main reason is because the characters aren't interesting in SIGN. Sure sure many argue that the whole point on SIGN was to focus on character development...but sorry the characters hardly appealed to me. Now in something like Roots (the best imo) and Legend of the Twilight it had memorable characters...

My buddy told me basically there are 2 channels now that show anime.

Toon Disney(Jetix) shows Oban Star Racers and Digimon at 4AM EST.

Cartoon Network has Adult Swim anime on SATURDAYS only now. Naruto and One Piece show very occasionally on Saturdays. Other than that - all anime has been wiped clean from primetime television.

Toon Disney was showing Shinzo up until a week ago but just yanked it. Shinzo was the last of the early 2000s series
