Merrel, zemgear, vivobarefoot etc, those are minimalistic, those brooks aren't even zero-drop shoes... I wouldn't put those on my feet even if my life depended on it dude...

What's more important to me though is the heel-to-toe differential...
I'm not saying people don't enjoy running in them, I'm just pointing out to charlz that he really, objectively made a mistake in calling these shoes minimalist. And I'm saying that I have been through enough shoes in my life to know that the Brooks Green Silence is NOT anywhere near zero-drop just by looking at it? Mkay?
@theanvilcracks Minimalist doesn't need to be zero-drop. I'm sure you've heard of the brand INOV-8 which makes difference differential drops but all are considered "minimalist". Be nice to Charlz, he's got a 9MM.
@TurboFuss1 I never said minimalist shoes need to be zero-drop, but it sure helps since introducing a greater-than-zero differential is to introduce another element of mechanical control over your foot, and therefore - not very minimalistic. But whatever fanboy, if you want to call them minimalist, go ahead, but don't come and tell me that these Brooks are equal in "minimalistic provess" to something like the ZEMGear shoes, or even Merrell's 'Road Glove'....!

I really, really don't think he would mind me just stating my honest opinion about his review and the products contained within.
