  • nice screen set-up. but the sim is pretty laggy, you need like quad GPU's.... :0

  • @Stardust342 Not sure what you mean. It's being played on Tri-SLI GTX470. The video is a replay demo, not actual live gameplay.

  • @BHawthorne72 the frame rate seems like its 15 or so... Is that just the camera?

  • @Stardust342 It's the webcam that is doing that. I get really good framerate on the setup. It is only 3840x800 resolution. Not much of a tax at all on Tri-SLI GTX470.

  • 0.0

  • i dont know if this was mentioned yet, but image a motion sensor tracking his face movements so it would look out X window

  • lol ... it's just a matter of time before the Air Force equips all fighters and bombers with a system where the pilots sit on the ground using sorround set up like yours.

  • Dude....after all that...u need the chair to sway with you too. Complete it.

  • @GENERAL1002 got an F-4 x-military simulator in front of it at the moment.

  • could you tell me what hardware exactly u used? especially on the beamer side? id like to know more, and maybe ill buld this as soon my cellar is rdy ^^

  • @PinkiesBrain Three Optoma EX525ST were used in that video. I've sence changed to three Optoma GT720 and prefer those projectors. Either NVIDIA Surround or AMD Eyefinity will work. Just pick a video card setup with the capability of triple-screen gaming.

  • Have you ever played WOW on this?

  • @thesmartdjmarsh Yes, I in the past. I don't play WOW anymore. My main MMO focus at the moment is RIFT. If the game can handle regular triple LCD, it'll run just fine on my setup. I have around 450 games on my Steam account and 80% of them run on the setup without issue. Some would argue having a 20% failure rate on gaming is bad, but the issue is triple-screen in general. You have to research out a lot more before purchasing a game running triple display.

  • @BHawthorne72 Change your login details on Steam dude, after they got hacked last week for card details, I bet if they got yours it'll be time for the crooks to retire, lol.

  • @MrNomadic76 Someone at the EVGA forums caught up with me and told me. I've re-passworded all my stuff a few days ago. Thanks for the heads up though. I have an added level of protection that my Steam account is not remotely similar to my screen names or my Steam name. :)

  • @BHawthorne72 Good to know. BTW, I see you have a few Falcon 4 AF vids, just wondered if you'd tried out the new BMS 4.32 yet? Highly recommended.

  • You, Sir, are already a living legend amongst gamers by now. Do you actually get motion sickness from that setup? ;)

  • @mhe0815 Donno about being a legend, but I do enjoy helping others achieve this kind of build. :)

  • @BHawthorne72

I'd love to have a setup like that, but concerning the necessity of graphics hardware if one wants to do this in 3x 1080p, I haven't found a one-does-it-all config. The high-end nvidias lack vram to perform in high resolutions with AA enabled and the ATi cards have their issues with vsync being broken in Eyefinity/CF. It's rather frustrating...

  • @mhe0815 Actually, EVGA is going out with a GTX580 with 3GB of ram shortly. There are a few others on the NVIDIA side with 3GB cards too. You are right though. There is no real ideal solution at the moment on the video card side of things. Personally, I prefer working through the AMD driver issues because the AMD side is simply more configurable. I have both AMD and NVIDIA surround setups though.

  • @mhe0815 I figured as much. I've also read somewhere, that the 3GB GTX 580 simply is a marketing trick and that the card only utilizes about 2gb of that memory. Hope that guy was simply mistaken. Since I'm big on having vsync running, I'm hesitant about using Eyefinity in crossfire configurations. Also, might there be an E6 version of the 6970 coming out, preferably with 4gb of vram? Because I'll need that much horsepower for the setup I have in mind. In the end, there will be 6 1080p screens...

  • wow it totally put 3x mon setup in shame, love to play arma on that

  • @foxwuj I have a few ArmA II videos up too. I'm not very good at things like FPS, but I have example videos of it. :)

  • FAKE: he doesn't move.

  • @THEKINGOFEUR0PE Gotta love YouTube trolls. It's the in-game playback demo recording. If you own LOMAC 2.0 you'd know the exact playback sequence I ran. I'm watching it play though the sequence... :P

  • super cool

  • Ok i that beats my 3 screen eyefinity setup...what sort of screen is that ??

  • @Hyperpsycrow The screen is pretty crappy actually. It's two raw canvas drop cloths from Home Depot. What makes it work is three Optoma EXE525ST projectors, NTHUSIM Plus 2.1 and NVIDIA Surround using the latest drivers.

  • WOW!

  • OMG... if you wouldn't be half-way around the world I'd be knocking on your door for a test-run. So sweeeeet! :D
