  • that's a deadly gun isn't it?

  • Now..... Why would you shoot metal balls in front of your TV

  • @chunihan that's his computer screen xD

  • I LOVE STARCRAFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • we did this in class

  • were can i find the rail any help would be appreciated.

  • soo if u can put that into an acutall gun then you can sling the ball wich hits the magnet and then it will fire the ball with a spiral shape almost like a real bullet but lil different and then POW Right in the KISser!

  • nerds FTW

  • or just throw the steel ball...

  • you should put two so one fires into another.

  • can you make a telsa coil that would be cool

  • YOU COME TO CC'S

  • who else watched the video because it had mastercheif in the thumb nail

  • like how your shooting at a tv

  • you should make it look like a real gun

    THAT. WOULD. BE. EPIC!

  • Can I make a magnet useing two metal balls, one inside the other with opposite poles?

  • Shoot him in the face at the end "I stand corrected"

  • 1:42 w8 u stand corrected i thought u were on the ground o-o

  • Fucking magnets, how do they work?

  • can it be any magnet please answer this question

  • I get it! The force hold the projectile ball to the ball behind it is smaller than the force acting on the single ball on the other side. The acceleration at which the projectile ball travels is determined by the difference between the two forces. So with a powerful enough magnet and a long enough train of balls, you could... well, you could get the projectile going really fast.

  • he has dolls

  • Thumbs up for Master Chief !!

  • But how does the magnet not restrict the leaving balls velocity? Wouldn't it just hold the ball in its mag. field, and transfer the energy of the coming ball into heat, sound, and maybe a dented magnet? Could you maybe explain the physics behind this?

  • Shooting metal objects in front of a tv/computer screen.....SCIENTIFIC

  • @airsoftsniper51254 To be fair, he did explain how it works. Different from just shooting.

If you are looking for real science, go read a book on whichever topic you find attractive, or watch a well funded documentary ;).

  • lol wuldnt it b funny if he hit his tv!!

  • someday it will be lethal

  • damn. it can't even hurt somebody...

  • MAKE A HEADSHOT WITH IT

  • what if you push the ball extremely fast?

  • would it be more powerful with more magnets?

  • I think its 3rd.

  • Is the Newton Balls Newton's 3rd law or 2nd?

  • i give it ten days before the government turns this to a weapon

  • kipkay also did this experiment

  • Now just build a sort of gun shape around it and make it so when you pull the trigger it releases a metal ball that fires it :D

  • i thought newtons cradle was called newtons ballsLOL

  • love how at 1:45 the desktop/tv is behind the action figure

  • If you use electomagnets and stuff, can you make a video of a homemade railgun please?

  • @ThdeGreatestOne i'm sorry to burst your bubble but a rail gun would be too complex, you would need to create a complex timer that would turn each electromagnet on and then off again within a fraction of a second, not only from the starting magnet, but each magnet in the chain. there is a reason why such weapons are not being used in war and that is that its just to impractical for a reliable weapon

  • @ThdeGreatestOne you could use a 555 timer, optocoupler, copper pipe, and a trigger to make it

  • If you answer my question I will whole heartily subscribe.

If you make a ramp for the trigger ball bearing thus make the ball bearing accelerate to a much higher velocity can you make the Gauss Gun shoot a ball bearing much faster?

  • @Tarutaru0 yes it will make it go faster because more energy is being transferd into the end bearing

  • yea cuz its a good idea to point a gauss gun on your action figure standing infront of your expensive screen.....

  • Quick question. I'm no Einstein, but wouldn't the bearing travel much faster if you flicked the bearing into the magnet?

  • Johnson: Deactivate the first barrier tower! I don't care how you do it, just get it done.

Chief: But I have no gun...

HH: Here's a gun for you...

  • do cc at 1:38

it reads:earth prescription for the president's with my weiner certificate.

    LOL!!!!!!

  • person comes up to you and tries to mug you

    *you grab gauss gun out*

him: HA whats that gunna do?

*puts little magnet in it and shoot him in the face* GAUSS GUN FTW!

  • what if you would've missed and hit your tv ?

  • Fucking magnets, how do they work?!

  • turn on transcribe audio and go to 1:38

  • what if he like hit the giant screen in the background with it O.O that wouldve been terrible

  • troll physics

  • or you could just throw it....

  • @jogoslogo but that will not be a gun and not as accurate

  • Now we can defeat the Taliban.

  • *watches the first six seconds* "Isn't that simply kenetic energy?" *posts comment before watching more*.

  • @Shadowbangg i know right. i do that all the time and then when i watch a lil bit more i remove my comment

  • @MrRoflcopterfromHELL yeah, same here.

  • ...ooooorr, you could just THROW the balls. XD jk jk

    but anyways tho, that's awesome

  • LOL HOW DUM ARE YOU PLACING IT AFTER THE TV? WTF

  • someone told me that this is used in some guns is that true?

  • fucking magnet guns. how do they work!?!

  • Cool its Jim Raynor :) (STARCRAFT 2)

  • 1:39 i wouldn't shoot that at the screen :D

  • mastur ch33f lika teh magnetz

  • Well if ur a guy u should already have some

  • where do you get the balls from

  • Target Practice in front of the Monitor FTW!

  • red faction aenagedon!

  • kipkay made it first

  • Its a First person shooter!

  • seriously... you've plased you figure front of a tv and if you shoot miss?

  • Steel Ball 4 Life!!!

  • is there a way to make it penetrate throught stuff and make it stronger

  • @purifiedbws Yes, just tape MULTIPLE magnets to it.

The idea is that the ball that you just shot will hit the next magnet with an even greater force, sending another ball off even faster. But make sure the magnets are very secure, (You'll have to do better than a little tape) or they will fall over and mess the whole thing up.

  • Also, it has a speed limit because the magnets fracture easier than you'd think.

  • More like Newton's Cradle without the cradle. If you want to make a real magnet gun, look up a "rail gun," there's some physics involved if you want to know the details, but it's really easy to build.

  • lol i love starcraft

  • i liked it! but you hate on raynor :(

  • red faction armaggedon

  • you should add another day for scientific tuesday so there can be two episodes every week! thumbs up if you agree!

  • fuckin magnets, thats how they work

  • if you use a magnet 1000x stronger it has the force of an pistol

  • I'd rather make a hidden blade using that rail.

  • ok two things, why RAYNOR! he's beast in SC2 and infront of ur tv? smart X)

  • Gauss gun gauss gun where have i herd it from... OH YEA FALLOUT NEW VEGAS -.-

  • press 8 and he blinks

  • What if you shot your T.V shooting the Stupid action Figure 0_o

  • your sooo retarded why would u do target practice right infront of your computer

  • kinda reminds me of metro 2033 pneumatic weapons :D

  • @jbthecoolkid A gauss gun and the video game you pick is Metro 2033?! N3W820R3

  • @jbthecoolkid YES. I LOVE YOU.

  • just put some rock and throw it to the enemy's head with 100% power!

  • i finally saw your face MY LIFE IS COMPLETE :D

  • cool.

  • dude thats freakin emile

  • i got a question how come some magnets you see every time you try to put them together they push each other a part

  • @gameman363 It's b/c you have the same poles facing each other, either [SN]-[NS] or [NS]-[SN], to get them to stick turn one magnet around so its [N-S]-[N-S] you could also do a bunch of magnets [NS]-[NS]-[NS]-[NS]-[NS] I don't know why the same poles repel each other.

  • i was about to laugh because the marble was aimed at the computer screen but it dint hit the screen

  • dear dylan,

can u like make them race?or like a roller coaster?

  • BOOM!!!!!!! HEADSHOT

  • i wish u were my science teacher!!!!!!!!!!!! u r so cool way better than mine

  • What sized bearings r u using?

  • I thought there was going to be a magnet gum. Oh well...

  • sweeeeeeeet

  • Did anyone else think of IMA FIRING MA LAZOR!! when he said gauss gun?

  • Trollscience much?

  • BOOOOOOM HEADSHOT

  • ... hey, i'm no physicist, but if you had a faster impact, would you get a faster ball?? would there be a sort of "energy inflation", because of the extra speed generated by the end of the first ball's area of travel??

  • So thats how the Gauss Warthog from Halo works...

  • i remember when there was only 3 videos on this channel

  • this is an excellent idea in theory for a perpetual motion device

  • i dont lick you

  • Ah yes let's shoot balls at a tv :p

  • hùhu_påsst_hìér_nèt_rein_abã_îch_bín_sô_êínsåm_wíll_jèmåñd_mît_mîã_schrêïbén

  • Just like Newton said in his theory

  • hey can you actually make a gun using this principle? witha casing around it and stuff?

  • @DoubleMGames Yes a Gauss Rifle does exist and is in limited use today. Imagine a large scale version of this magnetically expelling a solid slug. It has tremendous force and damage potential....

  • lol nvm i see people have posted comments saying that

  • why would you put the figure in front of the flat screen tv? what if you missed? lol, i hope i was not the only one thinking that

  • Lol"action figure"

  • Lol "action figure"

  • Check out my video subscribe magnet i will give you the link to where to get yours

  • u do copied this from kipkay

  • @toplies no kipkay recently made his video. look @ the date on this one!!! yep it is 2010 kip made his this year

  • is there a way to make it more powerful?

  • you play sc2???????

  • Why put ur tv behind the target who agrees

  • it's really smart to put that toy in front of your monitor :S

if he would have missed i would have lolled

  • Where can I get the magnet?

  • isnt this how rail guns work???

  • What if we did that with molecules?

  • @Coastergeekperson04 thats how a nukes made!!! well not rly but thatd be cool

  • Fuckken magnets

  • I shot my cat with this o.O

  • KIpkay did this too!

  • gASS gun

  • HEADSHOT B*TCH YOU JUST GOT ooowwned.

  • why do u never blink dude.... amg

  • can we use any magnet?

  • Balls of steel

  • lol steel balls

  • lol, my teacher laughed at me when i told him i could make a magnet gun. cant wait to see his face...

    thank you!

  • 1) Hold your breath.

    2) Copy all of these steps.

    3) Go to two other video.

    4) Paste it in the comments.

If you can do all of this without breathing you're a good pot smoker

  • notice the screen behind the action-figure, what if you'll miss?

  • nice gun, made it once myself. works better with more/bigger magnets.

  • 0:01

  • Can you sharpen the ammo?

  • @Haguatchi

Yes, but then it would be lethal and illegal.

  • @Haguatchi

yeah, but there would be no point because its so slow, it couldnt pierce anything.

  • woot jim raynor.. woot woot. so you have sc2?

  • you never blink O.O

  • @1dcramo do you know how do spell

  • @SuperGodOfWar321 do you know how to spell?

  • do u have to use that specific magnet

  • Mind if I build up on that idea and make an actual gun from it? ^^

  • What if you used a medium sized battery and some copper wiring to turn the magnet into an electromagnet?would this magnet gun have a higher velocity?

  • do you have a girl freand

  • So if i were to just keep dropping a ball onto the far end ill get a rapid fire gunn!?

  • 310 people's are against science.

  • @jeppewie1206 thats what she said

  • the longer the better?..

  • im gonna use this to make a guass gun from fallout 3

  • you could have broke you tv

  • can we actually just like touch the metal together better than roling it?

  • of course he would have an action figure
