  • This is one of my most favorite videos .. very expressive live music.

  • IMHO nobody has played the allegro assai better than Kremer.

  • she shows such good emotion

  • geniallllll el concierto y la interpretacion buen tiempo y entonacion una de las mejores violinistas sin duda y profundamente emocional

  • Have listened to other violinists on Youtube. She sounds the best to me!

  • I disagree, she is very good (especially by conducting and playing at the same time) but David Oistrakh and Hilary Hahn are definitely "better" than this lady.

  • I totally disagree, she is at least in the same league.

  • Tchaikovsky spoke, that ALL music is anyhow romantic!

  • I wouldn't say romantic, but he definitely was ahead of his time. He even uses a major 7th chord in there. Very interesting harmony.

  • that is a small bass

  • oh yes! awesome

  • love how she looks at all the musicians when she's playing. Diva!

  • this is really good. If there was a conductor i think it would have been a lot better. =]

  • she is the conductor shes conducting and playing

  • I heard Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg perform this piece with the Atlanta Symphony back in 2005, and it was simply spectacular....this is a piece with which I am very familiar, and she breathed new life into it...it was one of the most moving performances I've ever attended.

  • The recording is really good. But it could be 100 times better if KWC stayed more focused during the public performance. The real "conducting" is done during the rehearsals. At performance time she should focus on playing better phrases. Bach was among many other things an accomplished violin and viola player. His phrasing is incredibly subtle and needs a lot of attention or else the music comes unglued (which happens a little here). But great performance otherwise.

  • I agree. This is not a top level performance of this brilliant piece. I say that with as much respect as possible, but this is too loose without enough subtlety and precision.

  • agreed. she's got technique, skill, and talent. no question about it. However, imagine how much better the performance would have been if they had a conductor ;)

  • learning this for my grade 8 atm this is really useful thanks for upload :)

  • I lover her trills..great dynamic

  • am i a certified kwc junkie yet?

  • on the path to deliquency, I hear ya. This is good stuff, though...

  • Very good recording, the bass comes out great. Thanks for posting.
