I personally believe in a creator god as I am practicing Sufi Muslim. However, one thing we're taught is to learn the exoteric and esoteric meanings of the Quran and part of that process is knowing what is meant to be taken literally and what is metaphorical. The Bible...unfortunately has been tampered with and even the parts that I do feel are true have been interpreted very wrong or TOO literally where it doesn't make sense.

The Bible in the box should have come as an empty box itself (with a few hateful quotes on the front), to preclude anyone from actually following Jesus' teachings (so that they can be like all of the Christians in America)
