@choppstick1000 MorLam and Lum Vong came from LaoDam=Black Lao now known as Taidam because we wear black cloth...Lao is the only Kradai language that still have a true Tonal language of the 100 Yue...Thats where Tones of MorLum came from the Yue who use the Lao word as a last name or Clan name in ancient times.A word can mean many things depending on Tones on how it is used.
@utubb100 yeah i believe u on thats one thats tai dam they do wear blk cloth ..so on thats they live in the north west of laos .. some of them kinda speak viet
Music is international. The Lao classify their traditional song rhythms according to regions. The Lamvoang rhythm is the same everywhere within Laos (national rhythm). What we can say is that the Khmer Saravan is quite different from the Lao Salavan. That is the pride of the Khmer people.
yes i agree it's Lam Lao. but my point is it's in khmer lyrics. Isan, Lao, and Khmer lam styles are very similar. and also the way how they dance as well as everything in the morlam world.
Of course this is a Khmer song, clearly you don't know the different styles of Khmer music (ramvong, saravan, cha cha cha, gbach, etc...) This beat is called Lam-Lao or in Khmer "Lam-Leo." This is about what beat this song is in not what language it is. Search "lamleo" and you'll see a couple of other songs in this beat, or ask someone who actually knows Khmer music.
I was reading people's comments to this video and noticed a lot of argument over the this song is. I don't care if it's lam loa or lambada or saravan. I just like the song and how it brings back fond memories of my country when I was a little girl.
What a beautiful song. I used to listen to this song all the time when I was young. My parents would play the music right before I went to school. They fed me breakfast and gave me those Cambodian sweet caterpillar cake-like cookies. They were yummy! I miss Cambodia so much. I hope someday I will visit srok Khmer, the country of my birth.
How about who gives a shit it's a good song. I can really give two cents about what style dance it is honestly he's singing in one language and its Khmai.
it's a saravann rythm

this is khmer song, not Laotian. can't you tell by the scripts? it's just only the same kind of style music, but different language.
