I loved the Ernie and Runner Hardee's commercials. Most of their commercials before and since that campaign have been obnoxious.

I still have a program from 1975 with his autograph, when he raced at the local track in the Canada 200, he took time to sign what ever you handed him.

Much better than Hardee's current ad campaign of "If you don't eat a hamburger that weighs 6 pounds, you're not a man".

probably 1981 that was the year he drove the #28 car which carried Hardees livery most of the year
