I think it may be because it was my first time watching Doctor Who but the moment like.. the first 2 or 3 minutes watching this guy as the doctor made me fall in love with both the show and him instantly... and im not really the type to watch shows.. no matter what kind.. and he made me love it just in a few minutes.. must mean something

i loved David Tennant and i mean loved but everyone who is a fan of DW knows that a specific doctor cant stay forever they have to move on and Matt Smith is great too, it just took a while for me to get to grips that it wasn't David anymore :( :)

I think people should stop comparing them. They're all amazing doctors. The doctor regenerates with a different personality. I don't think one can say "this ones the better doctor" because we really are judging on personality. I'm not saying you can't have a favorite, just stop claiming one is better than the other. All of them are heroic and epic. There is no "best doctor" it's just The Doctor. If you still don't understand this you probably don't like the doctor you just like the actor.

i love matt as the doctor! he just seems to encompass the role perfectly. even in real life, he has an awkwardness with words and the way he walks, and his odd little mannerisms scream 'the doctor'.

and he has the same ability that david had, where he can just look at you and you want to run up and give him a cuddle :D

Basically you was never taught objective thinking,

Meaning that your argument is correct and there can be absolutely no way anyone on the opposite side are in the remotest form correct.

If you opened your eyes and saw that a very large amount of people enjoy him as the doctor, you'd see that he is doing his job rather well. You don't have to enjoy him, but actively hating him is just a ridiculous stance to take.

Here's the thing--when I started watching DW, I already knew I was going to love Tennant because I'd seen him in other roles and already adored him. Then I got three series and four additional specials to like him even more. With Eccleston, I've never had much of an opinion either way because one series isn't much to go off of, is it? Same with Smith; it's just been one series so far, so it feels unfair to judge him in either direction, if you ask me.

Because the McGann episode was an actual episode of Doctor Who that followed on from McCoy and was in keeping with the continuity of the programme.

The Peter Cushing films weren't in continuity. The Doctor was a human called "Doctor Who". They were juts re-makes inspired by the series.

I've seen him in Moses Jones and Ruby in the Smoke. He was okay in those, but it doesn't mean he'll do a good job of playing the Doctor, even if it is in the hands off Mr. Moffat.
