Leslie West is so over-rated it's not even funny. He wrote one good song (Mississippi Queen) and he's a god? NOT. He's sloppy and one-dimensional. Way out of his league with Schenker.

He was an early pioneer of that fat guitar sound that I must admit (after further introspection) that I too have been chasing my entire guitar career. I have finally achieved it too. From what I can tell from interviews he's a fairly humble guy and seems like a decent bloke. Again, my apologies to all who may have been offended.

Rev is not going to please everyone. No way can he "replace" felix or jack. But he CAN play. I heard him live. He is quite good. Hey everyone laughed at Leslie's larger than life stage presence (and thats putting it mildly!) when he first started. Then he became one of the most emulated and well known guitarists in the world. Lets give Rev a chance to tour with Mountain first, with Mountain as a headliner. That will give him apt chance to solo, and improv with Leslie.

the rev sucks! the propeller hair is fucking childish and insulting to the memory of felix pappalardi. leslie and schenker were great. it would have been better if they had a bass player like felix or jack. instead of this asshole rev who is making a spectacle of himself. i know what a great bass player is! and it sure aint the rev! go listen to the mountain felix albums. felixs bass work is light years ahead of anyone! obviously this is a last run for leslie west. its a miracle he is alive!
