I'm agree with tteedssoonn Michelle wasn't there and that's all, the judges are not qualifying the skater history, the just qualified what they see; Suguri just landed 5 Triples in the long, as Sasha and Irina did; in Spiral Sequence and Spin Combinations (even in Footwork) Cohen and Slutskaya are better that's what gives them a lot of points. Remember, Figure Skating is not only about jumping...(even in new judging systen..)
Ladies,please don't argue!There is no sense wondering if Michelle could have won the Olympics-she wasn't there and that's it.I believe Shizuka deserved her gold,but that's me:)It's not always about clean and difficult programs but also about living the preformance-this is hard to judge and depends from one to another person!So why don't we just enjoy our favourites?After all,I've made this montage for fun e because I like figure skating,not because I wanna start discussions...
why plushenko got such great marks in the sp if he did a disgusting quadruple? and why Irina placed third if Sugurie did a performance even better than cohen's at less in technic?? i think that Michelle Kwan would have won here for sure if she had done any of her two olympic long programs 2002 or 1998 here she would have won! at less by 1.58 (Scheherezade) and 8.56 (Lyra Angelica)
like seriously michelle kwan's dance was horrible and very unoriginal, her attitude uber snobby and her dress absolutely discusting! cohen had mistakes and so did slutskaya so i think sugurie (with her clean program) deserved first place
LOL ok if you think so! but i think Michelle Kwan's dance can't be unoriginal 'cuz she's 6 times world champion and 9 time u.s champion and of course 2 times olympic medalist (you dont need gold to succese), she's the second best ladie of all times!(Behind Sonja Hennie From Norway) but ok! thats your oppinion!
