THE PHONE CALL- "Casey is dead"

My 16-year old sister died because she fell asleep behind the wheel. Driving while tired also takes life. But it also affects those who are close to her. The driver of the truck she hit head-on sat crying as she died in his arms. His life will never be the same. My family's life will never be the same. I would drink and drive so I chose never to drive. Someone must stop the carnage on the roads. Even one person helps. God bless those who are trying to help and rest in peace for the rest.

When I lost my baby brother the call came from sister in law, "He didn't make it". I knew an hour before it was bad, but never imagined. His father in law were killed and his mother in law permantly disabled. Only my sister in law and their one year old survived without major injury. The truck driver was speeding and crossed the line.

Mmm, I don't know how this driver was punished, but I think all drunk drivers who kill somebody should be punished in the same way as someone who commits first degree murder. When you get into your car, knowing you're drunk, you're willing to take the risk of killing someone. In my believe that's murder.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I've lost my mother to an illness, but it must be even more terrible to loose a loved one, knowing it could have been prevented...

i hate dui accidents my uncle was in 1 afew years ago and hit an suv headon and killed 2 people in it and he died a week later. i remember getting the call at 233 am at my aunts house and my 10 yo cuzn answering the phone and being told her dad was in an accident and i told her he would be ok. then the day of his funeral she came to me and said she was mad at me cuz i lied to her. its been a little over 3 yrs and i still cry when i think about the look on her face when we buried her best friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. My dad was killed by a drunk driver and my brother almost died. I remember vividly how my mother was told and how we had to tell all my sisters. It is so senseless.

I am so sorry for your loss, I was hit head on by a wrongway drunk driver. I should have died. God spared my life, I will be impaired me for life.I used to ask God why he let me live and take children and younger people like your brother. The answer came that answer is that I would become a speaker and advocate to educate people about drunk driving and give a voice to those who can no longer speak.I speak at schools, Churches,DWIpanels,tour all over the U.S.
