This is the first video of Liberty Ridge route I’ve seen which is very detailed and covering so much of the route. The views are spectacular! The avalanche captured in the video freezes blood; just imagine being on its way. The weather was beautiful, which apparently makes the climb more enjoyable and safer. Unfortunately, just a few days before this video was shot, a person suffering from hypothermia and unable to climb disappeared on this route while his partners went down for rescue.
Yes as we approached there were helicopters over the ridge. They were attempting to recover the body, unsuccessful as I understand : ( Lot's of people epic on this route. Easy to do with weather/ overestimation of own abilities.
We were on Liberty Ridge just a week before you guys. The weather was great. What are you planning on climbing next?
