Ben-J I think was a wildcard in the selection for the event,, hence possibly why he seems a lower level. However you are comparing him to LILOU who has won this entire event twice now, so the contrast looks far greater. I think credit to him for going on BC One, I know I wouldn't have the guts to be on such a massive one on one event, especially when considering the socioeconomic disparity in Senegal even these days. He probably trains on uneven littered surfaces in blistering heat so props.

It's true, being in a tough situation isn't a good enough reason to earn respect. I do respect his toprocks tho. Also, I read on the redbull site something about how he's barely ever trained on good bboying surfaces, and that he hasn't really built up confidence breaking on a smooth, slippery floor. That might be a factor here, but we'll never know unless we see him throw down moves in some other footage.
