I've fought the Elite 4 twice now.I've beaten Drake,Phoebe,and Glacia both times, and faced Drake 3 times (first run,I saved after I beat Glacia).Still haven't beaten him yet.It's that Salamence of his.It's tough, though I think the last time I tried,I did the most damage to it.Maybe if I train more,I'll beat it next time. Makes me wonder how I'd do against Steven right now.

@kagemaru397 Just use an ice type move. All dragon types are at least 2x weak to ice (you'll do double damage). Salamence is 4x I believe.

@willcrapson Actually, both the Flygons, Altaria and Salamence are 4x weak to Ice. Only Shelgon is 2x weak to Ice. Flygons are part Ground/Dragon, and Altaria alongside Salamence are Dragon/Flying. Hence all but Shelgon are 4x weak to Ice. I hope this helps, despite this answer was said three months ago. :)

I think i beat Drake with my lvl 62 Blaziken. It knew flamethrower, sky uppercut, earthquake and mirror move. And mirror move is very useful. I fought a Rayquaza that flew up high while i used mirror move. I had a flying Blaziken

I would say Lance, because he has more than just dragon pokemon, he has Gyrados, Charizard, and Aerodactyl. He has two Dragonairs and a Dragonite(I think I'm just mixing his Gold team with his Red team...) and all of the aforementoined pokemon know Hyper Beam. However, Drake would prevail, due to the undeniable fact that even Drake's weakest pokemon (Shelgon) is stronger than Lance's Dragonite, the highest level member of his team. So in essance, it's a matter of level vs variety.

Well that really depends. Both are good but it truly depends on what style of trainer you are. I do better with flygon so therefore I LOVE Flygon but some may battle better with a salamence. BTW I just got a shiny trapinch from my cuzin (He probably used hacks) but I can't wait to evolve it.

you can't catch a shelgon or salamance you have to raise a bagon. it will become salamance at level 51.

On Drake, you can use Ice moves on all of his pokemon, instead of Dragon Claw or other dragon moves to easily take out all of his pokemon. Not that Dragon Claw is bad, ZERO. :D
