  • Was looking to upgrade to this, but after seeing this video, I definately wont. This fan is just silly, the sheer size of it is ridiculous. For that size, you can go with a much better solution.. Water Cooling.

  • thk u ,sir

  • great

  • great video man! you clearly explain everything that I need to know on how to install the heatsink! ^_^

The only thing that confuses me is how to properly apply the thermal grease?

  • @WhiteWalI I know your comment was over a month ago but you should watch a vid by "yaochoon" called How thermal compound spreads.. its shows why a small amount in the middle is best.

  • Hi mate, thanks for the tutorial, is there any much difference on doing on the AMD3 motherboard? thanks

  • @WhiteWalI a little dot of it spread all over one side of the processor is the proper way. you don't want to use too much, just enough.

  • very simple tutorial. very well done. installing the heat sink and cpu is definitely not the hardest thing to do. But to me is definitely the most sensitive piece of hardware on the board, besides maybe the mounting screws between the board and the case. I guess the data goes on the hard drive, but still it's so much easier to damage a smaller piece then a larger piece. even though all the chips are sensitive.

  • How on earth would I mount this exhausting out the back on an AMD motherboard? I can only get it to push air to the top of my case.

  • holy shit there is no tutorial out there as good as this one. THANK YOU

  • nice tuturoail man! thnx!

  • short and sweet - I like , thx

  • Hey, nice and clear video, thanks :) Just a couple of quick questions, Would you be able to put a stick of Ram in the slot closest to the fan? How much space is there underneath? I was thinking of getting one of these and putting 4 sticks of XMS3, the regular black and blue one and I was wondering if it would fit, do you know? Thankyou so much!

  • paki

  • @HoBLeYiZGoD actually nop! not paki, from asia yes, srilanka to be exact, but thanks for the ignorant comment

  • @HoBLeYiZGoD Fuck off i bet you dont now what a paki is you racist prick and befor you use some more inlogical shit im white. Hes from srilanka .. shortened down to from Pakistani to Paki (however, this word is usually generalised to mean anyone is from the middle east eg afgan, iraqi.)

  • @TheITzZ and nice vid :D thanks

  • @TheITzZ haha thanks for the support dude!

  • @TheITzZ NO THERE TERRORISTS

  • @HoBLeYiZGoD Oh My God are you stupid kid

  • @TheITzZ don't worry about it man, some people are just ignorant idiots..we all have to deal with them sometimes, but karma will one day rear its ugly head and deal justice to pricks like this

  • @HoBLeYiZGoD You could, at the very every least, learn grammar, then people may pay attention to you. Then again, probably not.

    By the way, "they're"

  • @TheITzZ *illogical lol jus sayin

  • Just a little tip that this guy didn't cover (literally). When putting on the thermal paste. Spread it completely over the processor with a card of somesort, apply it evenly and thin. Increases performance more. Thank you.

  • @hihiman actually the thermal paste that noctua offers doesnt need you to spread it and it offers great performance with the cooler

i have my i5 750 at a stable 4.1 ghz oc the stock cooler wouldnt get me past 3.3ghz but youre right a lot of pastes do need you to spread it

  • @hihiman

hey man, im not sure, some people say if you try and spread it, it creates air bubbles at that isnt good, im not sure, thanks (:

  • @hihiman actually, i strongly disagree, the pea amount is the right way because spreading it causes air bubbles to become trapped. This greatly reduces heat transfer and so is detrimental to the fan.

  • where can i buy a custom heat sink and fan online?

  • @Ignore14 where do you live?

  • @GadgetShock pennsylvania, united states.

  • Veryy helpful, thanks :)

  • Excellent video, very helpfull!

  • @44Grimmace thanks man subscribe and watch our other stuff to support us

  • Very informative, thanks. I may watch this again when I get an aftermarket fan for the new sockets.

  • @44Grimmace awesome, thanks a lot for the support, remember to subscribe

  • i'm once saw a video about hooking up an xbox to an hdmi monitor that I thought you guys did but its not here anymore, anyway it really sucked so it couldn't have been you guys. this video is much better then that one. Thanks to you guys i installed CPU heatsink and fan! Thanks gay boys!
