Why can't prolife and prochoice learn to respect each other as fellow human beings. In this video I saw a total disdain on both sides. I am pro life and I would love nothing more than to just sit down and talk with a rational pro choice supporter and discuss what we're all about. It may sound pretty dumb but if we don't stop hating each other then this debate will escelate into a whole different type of monster
@d983394 Because pro-lifers don't recognise women as people who own their bodies. My uterus isn't public property for people to vote over, it's my property.
Wow, look at those tough men standing up for the right to kill their wild oats. You should all be so proud. God forbid your girlfriend feel any anxiety about killing her baby so you can keep knocking her up for free.
Since when does pro-choice mean pro-abortion? Why is it believed that someone who is pro-choice ENJOYS abortions? You talk as if it is a game. Life is never a game and those who are put in unfortunate situations deserve the right to do what they need in their life without the persecution of an outsider. Let their decision be with them and God. But why harass and judge others? Is that really your place?
Yes it is everyone's place to try to stop murder. Nobody "need"s to have an abortion. It is a selfish act of ultimate cruelty and callousness, the purpose of which is relieve them of the consequences of their actions. In rare cases (rape) it is not the woman's fault, but it is still not the baby's fault! Why kill the baby for something someone else did?
Do you even take into account that some reasons are medical? Why let both mother and child die when one can be saved? Also, if abortion is banned, what desperate measures will women go through in order get it done? Face it, there will always be times when women think abortion is needed. Either provide a safe place to do it in, or leave it up to dangerous and unprofessional attempts. Which would save more lives in the end do you think?
Yes and legal or not, some women will think murdering their 2 year old is needed. Perhaps we should provide safe ways to do this as well so the mother doesn't hurt her back trying to throw them over the guardrail on the bridge.
And there is not a single medical reason to purposely kill a baby. Sometimes early delivery is necessary, and despite good intentions the baby will die. This is Gods plan. But purposeful murder is never necessary.
Are you serious?? You obviously have not done your research, but if you intend to make a convicing argument, at least get your facts straight first. I suggest you look up ectopic pregnancy, preeclampsia, mirror syndrome, and placenta previa just to name a few.
Well ectopic pregnancy means the baby must be removed, (termination). Mirror Syndrom, if it accures early in pregnacy, means the baby must be removed. And not all babies of preeclampsia go full term. Also, in some cases of placenta previa, a c-section can still cause uncontrolled bleeding. So just because termination of pregnanancy is not necessary in ALL the cases, it IS necessary sometimes. Meaning your statement, "there is not a single medical reason to purposely kill a baby." is incorrect.
Ectopic: Baby must be removed, not terminated...let it die on its own.
Mirror: Once again, early delivery, child may die, you don't have to kill it.
Preeclampsia: If baby doesn't go full term, it will likely be close enough and will survive with some help.
Placenta Previa: Abortion can also cause uncontrolled bleeding. It is very seldom that this condition, when treated properly, will result in death of either the mother or child.
Aero: To elaborate on the ectopic pregnancy, this is basically a very early delivery. As it is medically necessary to save the life of the mother, the procedure must take place, but the intent here is not to kill the baby. The intent is to deliver the baby to save the mother. The fact that the baby will die is sad, but this is not an abortion.
So you're saying that the baby is going to die, but it is not on purpose?? Well Hello!!! That is the point! Some "abortions" are not to kill the baby, but to save the mother. An abortion is basically to remove an unborn fetus. And in cases such as ectopic pregnancy, that is exactly what they do, remove the baby and let it die.
Aero: I don't think any Pro-Lifer is against removing a baby in an ectopic pregnancy. This is NOT an abortion as the baby is removed from the mother ALIVE. Or at least this should be the intent. It will shortly die, but sadly there is nothing doctors can do to prevent this. If it were possible to help the baby (for example in the case of an ectopic pregnancy that was viable, which has rarely happened) then I would expect them to do everything possible to save the baby as well.
But if abortion is banned completely, what is going to happen to mothers with medical issues?? It's sad that a lot of people use it as "birth control" but for those who need it to save their own life, what choice will they be left with? Maybe more options need to be available. Maybe proper birth control should be easily available to anyone despite their ability to pay for it. A better, cheaper health insurace policy could prevent this completely.
Aero: No, what we need is to ban all abortions. Delivering/removing the baby early to save the life of the mother is NOT abortion because the baby is not killed, but dies natural. Natural death is not morally problematic. This is why suicide is wrong, but dieing from a heart attack is not. This is not a difficult concept.
Well then it's safe to say you haven't been in a tough situation huh?? I mean, when you have to choose between never having children in your future, or ending the pregnancy that is going to result in miscarriage anyway, abortion is sort of your only choice. But to someone who has never looked at things from another view point, that must seem a little unrealistic.
I wonder if all pro-life men only ever have sex when they agree with they partner they want a kid out of it. Doubtful.

AeroLuv:
Ectopic pregnancy: remove tube section containing baby.
Preeclampsia: treatable, most babies go full term.
Mirror syndrome: early delivery, baby may die.
Placenta previa: baby lives to full term, C-section may be necessary.
You are an idiot if you think any of these things necessitate an abortion. And yes, I have done my research, you obviously have not.
