First of all, thanks!

Second, it has taken me over 200 hours to model Atlantis... and its not yet completed. There is still more that I need to finish.

Most of the textures use a "flat" or "cubic" projection, and then I just put them into place where I want them.

Ive been using C4D for about 7 years, so im not exactly a beginner. lol :)

No, im using a dual Core2 Quad workstation.

@ShepperdOneill If you have the money you should upgrade to a dual xeon workstation. The OS would recognize it as having 16 cores.

Transformers was rendered on a huge server farm. Some articles have said that it took over 30 hours to render 1 frame for certain parts.
